Operating Temperature
Do not expose this unit to excessive heat. This unit is designed to operate between 32F and 104F (0oC and 40oC). This unit may not function properly under extreme temperatures, and should be allowed to return to recommended temperatures before use.
Calib – The seven LEDs on the front of the pedal represent seven different calibrations. Pressing the Calib button, allows scrolling through these settings. The calibration settings of the tuner are from 437Hz to 443Hz with the default value at 440Hz. Disconnecting the power source and then reconnecting will reset the calibration to 440 Hz.
Note – Press the Note button to cycle the display through 0,A,A#,B,C#,C,,D,D#,E,F,F#,G,G#, for individual or ‘fixed’ note tuning. The chosen note will blink three times indicating the tuner has entered the ‘fixed’ note tuning mode. In this mode, the far left LED indicates ‘flat’ tuning, and the far right LED indicates ‘sharp’ tuning. The LED’s blink faster to indicate distance from the note, and blink slower as the tuning gets closer. When neither LED is lit, accurate tuning has been achieved. Holding the Note button for 2 seconds and then releasing, will return the display to ‘0’, and will exit the ‘fixed’ note mode immediately.
Strobe – The Strobe button selects between ‘Sweep’ or ‘Strobe’ mode. The Tuner will remain in the Mode chosen until the alternate has been selected.
On/Off Switch - This switch determines whether the pedal is ‘active’ or ‘bypassed’ (on/off). This is a ‘True Bypass’ switch.
Mute Switch – This switch will mute the signal when engaged (on), for silent tuning.
INPUT- Using a standard line cable with a 1/4” jack, connect your instrument to this jack.
DC 9V - To use external power (not provided) use only a 9-Volt DC adapter. For details please refer to the
section POWER REQUIREMENTS.
OUTPUT - Using a standard line cable with a 1/4” jack, connect this output to the input of your amplifier or next accessory in the signal chain. This is a ‘True Bypass’ output. When the tuner is disengaged (off), your signal will travel directly to your amp or effects chain without tonal sacrifice.
The Battery is located inside the pedal. To install or replace the 9V battery, loosen the screws on the bottom and remove the bottom plate. Be careful not to scratch the unit. Always remember to unplug your cables from the pedal to conserve battery life. Some battery drain will take place when the line cables are connected to the tuner, regardless if the tuner is engaged or not.
