Congratulations on your purchase of a Taylor® Lithium
Electronic Scale with Voice Feature. Your Scale is an example
of superior design and craftsmanship. Please read this
instruction manual carefully before use. Keep these
instructions handy for future reference.
General Operation
1. There is a red strip under the lithium battery cover to prevent
battery drain in shipping. The strip can be pulled out without
removing the battery cover. Also make sure that the 9 volt
battery is installed as well. Please do this before continuing
with these instructions.

4. The scale needs to be initialized at the first time of use or after
any battery replacement: Press lightly on the scale platform.
The display will show zero and the scale will say "Hello." Then
the scale automatically turns off. Your scale is now ready for use.
2. Select pound, kilogram or stone-pound by the slide switch on
the bottom of the scale.
3. Select language of English, French, or German by
pressing the button on the bottom of the scale. Sound will
output the corresponding language once the language is
selected. You can also select a volume level of high, low or off
by using the slide switch on the bottom of the scale.
Note: English, French and German can be selected for
kilogram units. Pounds and stone units can be heard in
English.
5. With the automatic on function, simply step onto the scale, and
you will hear “Hello”. After a few seconds it will show your
weight and you will hear “Your weight is - - - - -”.
Trouble Shooting
1. The message “Err0” is displayed with sound "Error, please try
again.” If this happens simply step off of the scale, and
repeat the weight measurement procedure.
2. In the event that you are moving while you are standing on the
platform, the scale will display the message “Err1” with sound
“Error, please try again.” If this happens, step off of the scale,
then repeat the measurement procedure ensuring that you
keep perfectly still.
3. OVERLOAD WARNING: remove the weight immediately when
the scale displays “Err2” with sound “Overload”, otherwise,
permanent damage to the scale will occur.
Battery Replacement
1. Replace lithium batteries when is displayed or replace
9 volt battery when the voice quality distorts or becomes to soft
to hear.
2. Use two CR2032 Lithium batteries for weighing and one 9 volt
alkaline battery for voice.
3. Insert batteries in to the appropriate compartments on the
bottom of the scale as indicated by the polarity symbols (+ and -)
as marked on the outside of the battery compartments. After
replacing any battery follow step 4 under "General
Operations" to initialize the weight reading.
4. Remove batteries if the scale is not being used for a prolong
period of time.
