Canister Release Button
The ALLY™/ALLY TO GO™ removes uid from a wound by using carefully
controlled suction.

Things you need to know about your ALLY™/ALLY TO GO™

Changing the Canister
• Do not allow the ALLY™/ALLY TO GO™ to get wet. Disconnect the tubing from the
canister if you take a bath or shower.
• Keep the ALLY™/ALLY TO GO™ plugged in whenever possible to keep the battery fully
charged. Always take the A.C. Power Adapter with you when you leave home.
• Keep the ALLY™/ALLY TO GO™ upright to avoid a false Canister Full alert.
• Keep the ALLY™/ALLY TO GO™ turned on at all times unless there is bleeding from
the wound or instructed by your healthcare professional.
• Do not change the settings on the ALLY™/ALLY TO GO™ unless you are told to do
so by your healthcare professional.

Turn ALLY™/ALLY TO GO™ o by pressing the OFF Button.
Gently twist the blue Twist N’ Connect™ end of the tubing

counterclockwise and pull to remove the tubing from the canister.
Press the Canister Release Button found above the canister. Grasp the canister

at the bottom and pull downward.
Cap the canister. Ask your healthcare professional how to properly dispose

of a used canister.
Hold the new, unused canister at the bottom and slide upwards.

Align the two ports on the canister lid to the two ports in the
ALLY™/ALLY TO GO™ and press the canister upwards until it “clicks” into place.
Reconnect the tubing to the canister by gently lining up the blue Twist N’

Connect™ end of the tubing to the Twist N’ Connect™ port on the canister,
push down and twist clockwise to lock into place.

Reopen the tubing clamp.
Turn the device on by pressing the ON Button.

Troubleshooting Alerts
If the ALLY™/ALLY TO GO™ begins to alert, refer to the Troubleshooting section.
Turning ALLY™/ALLY TO GO™ ON
Press the ON Button to start therapy.
Turning ALLY™/ALLY TO GO™ OFF
Press the OFF Button to stop therapy. The display ashes “o-f-f” three times before
the ALLY™/ALLY TO GO™ turns o.

First, look at the canister to see if it is full. If the canister is full, change
the canister (see “Changing the Canister” on front page). If the canister
is not full, proceed with the steps below.

NOTE: A false Canister Full/Blockage alert can occur if drainage moves into the canister while the
ALLY™/ALLY TO GO™ is lying on its front (the button side) or if it is turned upside down. If this occurs,
you must change the canister to resume device operation. Always keep the ALLY™/ALLY TO GO™ upright.
