Things to do before you begin recording
1. Check Charge a. We recommend charging camcorder before use, even if the camcorder
indicates a charge (green light) b. Turn OFF camcorder c. Insert and slide Canon Li-ion Battery into the back of camcorder d. Plug compact power adapter into an outlet and insert the other end into the
DC IN location on the bottom right of the camcorder e. While charging the POWER/CHG light will turn red, when fully charged the
POWER/CHG light will turn off
2. Obtain a Memory Card a. Memory cards rated CLASS 4, 6 or 10 are recommended b. SD/SDHC/SDXC cards by Panasonic, Toshiba, and SanDisk are recommended c. Insert memory card into “SD CARD OPEN” slit next to ON/OFF button
i. Use a slight angle and have the label side facing outward
*Have you done these steps? If yes, you are ready to record!
I’m ready to record
1. Insert and slide Canon Li-ion Battery into back of Camera
2. Press the ON/OFF button
3. Open lens by pushing down on the switch on the left side of lens (while look straight on at lens)
4. Set your settings
a. The camcorder may prompt you to personalize settings using the touch
screen (i.e. date and time)
b. If the camcorder goes straight to the lens view then go
scroll left and press pick on top right
c. Scroll through these settings and
5. Press START/STOP to begin and stop recording a. This is

6. To view recording press by the ON/OFF button
a. In b. Swipe left/right or use the left and right arrows to display more playback
c. Touch desired scene to playback
