Fast And Reliable Check Processing
The Canon imageFORMULA CR-180II is a high-speed desktop check transport designed to be an integral part of today’s electronic check presentment and payment processing. Exceptional feeding reliability, image quality, and production performance and capability all make the CR-180II check transport ideal for distributed capture and image exchange applications, such as branch capture and remittance processing.
Speed And Reliability
One of the fastest desktop devices available, the CR-180II model features duplex scanning speeds of up to 180 checks per minute.* It also simultaneously reads Magnetic Ink Character Recognition (MICR) codeline data, in E13B or CMC-7, with high accuracy using Canon’s patented highprecision magnetic head. Built for high-volume environments, the CR-180II check transport can handle checks of all types and sizes with a suggested daily volume of up to 20,000 pieces.
Canon’s extensive microfilm reader and document scanner expertise help deliver efficient job completion and smooth, reliable feeding and problem-free operation. The CR-180II check transport’s high-capacity, 200-document auto feeder includes a built-in jogger that helps to align batches of documents in the feeder tray, significantly decreasing total document preparation time. The CR-180II can also handle a wide variety of document types in addition to checks— including payment and deposit slips or carrier envelopes—
reliably and efficiently. The Deskew function and Canon’s exclusive image processing technology help ensure accurate image and data capture every time, while the Infrared Double-Feed Detection enhances feeding reliability and simplifies handling of document batches with mixed dimensions and thicknesses.
Image Quality
The CR-180II check transport captures high-quality images. It’s bundled with Silver Bullet Image Quality Analysis (IQA) software. The IQA module automatically verifies that check image quality is in accordance with the Check Clearing for the 21st Century Act (Check 21) requirements, avoiding costly processing delays resulting from non-conforming images. In addition, the CR-180II check transport includes a Color Dropout function to remove color elements for improved text recognition and OCR, supporting E13B, OCR-A, and OCR-B characters.
