Rechargeable Ni-Cd Batteries

• The Ni-Cd batteries have not been charged before shipment. Therefore, you will need to
charge them before using them for the first time.
• Charge the batteries in a location with an ambient temperature between 41 ° and
104°F/5° and 40°C.
• To get the best performance from the rechargeable Ni-Cd batteries, we recommend that you use them for taking pictures, or playback, until the power in the batteries is exhausted each time they are used.
• If Ni-Cd batteries that have been charged, are recharged without being used the capacity of the batteries will be reduced.
• If the capacity of the batteries is reduced, even after they have been charged, this
indicates that the batteries have reached the end of their useful life. Replace the
batteries with new ones.
• The rechargeable Ni-Cd batteries are warm after they have been used. This is normal and is not a malfunction.
• Always remove the batteries from the camera if you will not be using the camera for a
long time.
• Do not allow the contact terminals on the batteries to become dirty.
• When carrying or storing the batteries, do not allow the contacts to come into contact with other metal objects.
• When storing the batteries, always store them at an ambient temperature between 50° and 77°F/15° and 25°C.
Do not store the batteries in locations that are; very cold, hot and humid, or smoky locations.
