Something Wrong with your Cooker?
Before contacting your nearest Service Centre/Installer, check the problem guide below; there may be nothing wrong
with your cooker.
Problem Check
Ignition does not work
If all bur ner s f ail to ignite:
Chec k that s parks appear at the burners ;
A c li cki ng nois e shoul d be hear d.
If not
Chec k that t he plug i s pl ugged i n to a
13am p Elec tri c soc ket and the suppl y
is switched on.
If all bur ner s still fail to ignite
Top Cavity Grill Burner
Chec k and re place if ne cessa ry the 13amp fu se
If only one bur ner fails to ignite
Check that the burner is dry and that spi llage of food or
cleaning fl uid r emains are not affecting the Ignitor or burner
port s.
Burner P orts Ignitor
Cl ean away any debri s wi th a dry nyl on brus h such as an
Hotplate Burner
old dry toothbrush.
Hob Top
If a w ire w ool pad has been us ed for c leani ng aroun d the
burn er ensur e the I gnito r is free f rom any str ay st rands.
Any water on the bur ner sh ould be dr ied wi th a c loth o r
kitc hen towel.
On t he hotpla te mak e sure that al l bur ner
part s are c orr ectly seat ed
Burner P orts Ignitor
Oven or Gri ll will not stay lit
For correct ignition of oven/grill burners press the ignition button
when the contr ol knob is r eleased
and the n push i n and tur n contr ol k nobs ant i-c lock wise .
Control Panel Control Knobs
Conti nue to p ress the igni ti on button u ntil the spa rk l ights the gas .
Onc e ali ght rel ease t he igni tion button and conti nue to hol d the
cont rol knob i n for a f urther 6 to 10 s econds .
Then r eleas e the c ontrol knob and set to t he requi red t emperat ure.
The f lame shoul d now stay ali ght.
If the flame does not hold and goes out wai t 30 seconds and try
agai n
Oven Control Grill Control
Oven Temper atur e seems to o
Chec k that t he tempe rature has been set i n acco rdance w ith
high or too low
the t emperat ure ch arts. It ma y be nec essar y to i ncrea se or
decrease the recommended temperature by 10 C to suit your
taste
Oven does not cook evenly.

Chec k that t he Utens il b eing us ed in t he oven al low s uffi cient
ai r fl ow around t hem.
Check that the cooker is level.
