IMPORTANT SAFETY REMINDERS:

This cleaner should only be used for domestic cleaning, as described in this User
Guide. Please ensure that this guide is fully understood before operating the
appliance.

Warning: Electricity can be extremely dangerous. This appliance is double insulated
and must not be earthed.

Important: The wires in the mains power lead are coloured in accordance with the
following code:

Blue - Neutral Brown - Live

Static electricity: Some carpets can cause a small build up of static electricity. Any
static electricity discharge is not hazardous to health.

Remember: After use, switch the cleaner off and remove the plug from the electricity
supply. Always switch off and remove the plug before cleaning the appliance or
attempting any maintenance.

Safety with children, elderly or the infirm: Do not let children play with the appliance
or its controls. Please supervise the use of the appliance by older children,

the elderly or the infirm.

IT IS IMPORTANT THAT YOU DO NOT:

• Position the cleaner above you when cleaning the stairs.

• Use the cleaner out of doors on wet surfaces or for wet pickup.

• Pick up matches, hot ash, cigarette ends, hard or sharp objects or anything that

may damage the cleaner.

• Spray with or pick up flammable liquids, cleaning fluids, aerosols or their va
pours as this may cause risk of fire/explosion.

• Run over the supply cord whilst using the cleaner or remove the plug by pulling
on the cord.

• Stand on or wrap the power cord around arms or legs when using the cleaner.

• Continue to use your cleaner if it appears to be faulty. If the supply cord is

damaged, stop using the cleaner IMMEDIATELY. To avoid a hazard, an
authorised Candy service engineer must replace the supply cord.

• Remove the dust bag before removing the hose from the cleaner.

• Use the appliance to clean people or animals.

ASSEMBLING YOUR CLEANER:

Remove the cleaner and accessories from their packaging. Please dispose of the
packaging material in a safe and conscientious way.

Insert the hose end into the cleaner, ensuring it clips and locks into position.
To release: simply press the two buttons on the hose end and pull (P1).

Fit the hose/handle and floor nozzle onto opposite ends of the telescopic tube (P2 &
P3). The accessory tools can be stored on the tool holder clipped to the telescopic
tube (P3).

USING YOUR CLEANER:

Power supply - Pull cord and plug into power supply (P4). Please make sure the

cord is fully extended before using the cleaner. Press the on/off pedal once to start
the cleaner (P5). Press it again to stop the cleaner before removing the plug after
use. Press the cord rewind button to wind the power cord back into the cleaner (P6).

Fixed power control (depending on model) - Adjust the suction by moving the
handle valve: suction will decrease when opening the valve (P7). Use low suction for
delicate fabrics.

Variable power control (depending on model) - Slide the variable power adjuster to
increase or decrease the suction (P8). Use low suction for delicate fabrics.

Telescopic Tube - The telescopic tube can be extended in length when required
by sliding the tube latch forward to release the extension tube. The extension tube
can then be pulled out to the desired length (P9).

Carpet & Floor Nozzle - Press the pedal on the nozzle to lower the brush head
when cleaning hard floors (P10). Press the pedal again to lift the brush head when

cleaning carpets.

Mini Turbo Nozzle (depending on model) - Use the mini turbo nozzle (P11) for deep

cleaning on textile surfaces. Important: do not use the Mini Turbo Nozzle on rugs with
long fringes, animal hide and with carpet piles deeper than 15mm. Do not keep the

nozzle stationary while the brush is rotating.

Multifunction Tool - (P12) This tool can be used as:

1. Crevice tool: for corners and hard to reach areas

2. Dusting brush: for bookshelves, frames, keyboards etc.

Furniture Nozzle (depending on model) - For soft furnishings and fabrics (P12).

Parking and storage - The extention tube can be parked for temporary storage

during cleaning or in the storage position when not in use (P13 & P14).

CLEANER MAINTENANCE:

Replacing the dust bag (depending on model) - If the bag check indicator is

illuminated (P15) please check and, if necessary, replace the dust bag.

1. Remove the hose from the cleaner (P1).

2. Press buttons on handle (P16) and remove the bag door (P17).

3. Pull the bag collar to remove the dust bag (P18) and carefully dispose of the
bag into a bin.

4. Fit a new bag into the cleaner by inserting the bag collar into the bag holder.

Important: The hose must be removed before removing or replacing the dust bag.

Remember: The bag check indicator will also illuminate if an obstruction has occurred.
In this case refer to the section "Removing a blockage from the system".

Emptying the permanent dust bag (depending on model) - If the bag check
indicator is illuminated (P15) please check and if necessary, empty the permanent
dust bag.

1. Remove the hose from the cleaner (P1).

2. Press buttons on handle (P16) and remove the bag door (P17).

3. Pull the bag collar to remove the dust bag (P18) from the cleaner.

4. Remove the plastic guide at the end of the bag allowing dirt collected to fall
into the bin (P19).

5. Return the guide back into the original position.

6. Replace the permanent dust bag by inserting the bag collar into the bag
holder.

7. Check the filters for excessive build up of dust and if necessary clean the
washable filter (see 'Cleaning the washable filters').

Removing the pre-motor and exhaust filters
To remove the Hepa pre-motor filter:

1. Open the bag door and remove the dust bag from the cleaner (see 'Replacing
the dust bag').

2. Press the latch at the top of the Hepa pre-motor filter frame to unlock it from
the cleaner. Tilt then remove the filter from the cleaner (P20).

To remove the Purefilt exhaust filter:

1. Unlatch and remove exhaust filter cover (P21)

2. Remove the washable exhaust filter.

Cleaning the permanent dust bag (depending on model) - To maintain optimum
performance we recommend that you wash the permanent bag under handwarm
water after every 5 full bags. Remove excess water with a dry cloth and leave to dry
fully before replacing.

Cleaning the washable filters - To maintain optimum performance please tap and, if

necessary, wash the pre-motor and exhaust filters after each bag change using
handwarm water. Remove excess water with a dry cloth and leave to dry fully before

replacing.

Important: Do not use hot water or detergents to wash the filters or permanent dust
bag. In the unlikely event of the filters or dust bag becoming damaged, fit a genuine
Candy replacement. Do not try and use the product without the bag or filters fitted.

Removing a blockage from the system - If the bag check indicator is illuminated:

1. Check if the bag is full. If so refer to 'Replacing the dust bag'.

2. If the bag is not full but the indicator is illuminated:
Do the filters need cleaning? If so refer to 'Cleaning the washable filters'
Check if there is any other blockage in the system - Use a rod or pole to re
move any blockage from the extension tube or flexible hose.

Warning –The bag check indicator will remain illuminated if the cleaner is used when
the bag is full, if there is a blockage or if the filters are dirty. If used for a period of
over ten minutes with the bag check indicator illuminated, an electronic cut out will
switch the cleaner off to prevent any risk of overheating. If this should happen, switch
the cleaner off, unplug and correct the fault (see ‘ Removing a Blockage From the
System’). The cut out will automatically reset upon switching the cleaner back on.

USER CHECKLIST:

Should you have a problem with the product, complete this simple user checklist
before calling your local Candy Service office.

• Is there a working electricity supply to the cleaner? Please check with another
electrical appliance.

• Is the dust bag over-filled? Please refer to 'Cleaner Maintenance'.

• Is the filter blocked? Please refer to 'Cleaner Maintenance'.

• Is the hose or nozzle blocked? Please refer to 'Removing a Blockage from the
System'.

MONTAJE DEL ASPIRADOR:

Extraiga el aspirador y los accesorios del embalaje. Deshágase del material de
embalaje de una forma segura y responsable.

Introduzca el extremo de la manguera en el aspirador, asegurándose de que quede
encajado y bien sujeto en su sitio. Para sacar la manguera: sólo hay que ejercer
presión sobre los dos botones que se encuentran en el extremo de la manguera y
tirar (P1).

Instale la manguera/el mango y la tobera para suelos en los extremos opuestos del
tubo telescópico (P2 y P3). Pueden guardarse los accesorios en el porta-accesorios
instalado en el tubo telescópico (P3).

UTILIZACIÓN DEL ASPIRADOR:

Alimentación de energía - Tire del cab

le y enchúfelo a una toma de corriente (P4).
Cerciórese de que el cable esté completamente extendido antes de usar el aspirador.
Pulse una vez el pedal de encendido/apagado para encender el aspirador (P5).
Púlselo de nuevo para detener el aspirador antes de desenchufarlo tras su uso.
Pulse el botón recogecable par

a recoger el cable en el interior del aspirador (P6).

Regulador de potencia fija (según modelo) - Ajuste la potencia de aspiración
moviendo la válvula que se encuentra en el mango: la potencia de aspiración
disminuirá al abrir la válvula (P7). Utilice baja potencia con tejidos delicados.

Regulador de potencia variable (según modelo) - Deslice el regulador de potencia
variable para aumentar o disminuir la potencia de aspiración (P8). Utilice baja
potencia con tejidos delicados.

Tubo telescópico - El tubo telescópico puede extenderse o encogerse empujando
hacia delante los seguros a la vez que se empuja o se tira de los tubos hasta
alcanzar la longitud que desee (P9).

Tobera para alfombras y suelos - Pulse el pedal de la tobera para que baje el
cabezal de cepillo al limpiar suelos duros (P10). Pulse el pedal de la tobera de nuevo
para que suba el cabezal de cepillo al limpiar alfombras.

Mini tobera turbo (según modelo) - Utilice la mini tobera turbo (P11) para la
limpieza a fondo de tejidos. Importante: No utilice la mini tobe

ra turbo para alfombras
que tengan flecos largos, estén hechas de piel animal, ni sean de pelo de un espesor
superior a 15 mm. No mantenga la tobera inmóvil mientras el cepillo esté girando.

Accesorio multiuso - (P12) Este accesorio puede emplearse como:

1. Accesorio para rincones: para rincones y zonas de difícil acceso.

2. Cepillo para quitar el polvo: para estanterías, marcos, teclados, etc.

Tobera para muebles (según modelo) - Para cortinajes y tejidos blandos (P12).

Colocación y almacenamiento del tubo - El tubo telescópico puede colocarse de
un modo conveniente para su almacenamiento temporal mientras se utiliza el aparato
o en la posición de almacenamiento cuando no se está utilizando (P13 y P14).

MANTENIMIENTO DEL ASPIRADOR:

Cambio de bolsa (según modelo) – Si el indicador de comprobación de la bolsa

(P15) está encendido, compruebe el estado de la bolsa y, si fuera necesario, cambie
la bolsa por otra nueva.

1. Extraiga la manguera del aparato (P1).

2. Apriete los botones del mango (P16) y retire la portezuela de la bolsa (P17).

3. Tire del collarín de la bolsa para poder extraerla (P18) y deseche con cuidado la

bolsa /tirándola al cubo de la basura.

4. Instale una bolsa nueva en el aspirador introduciendo el collarín de la bolsa en el

portabolsa.

Importante: Debe extraerse la manguera antes de sacar o volver a colocar la bolsa.

Recuerde: También puede encenderse el indicador de comprobación de la bolsa si se
ha producido alguna obstrucción. Si esto sucediera, consulte el apar

tado

"Eliminación de una obstrucción en el sistema".

Vaciado de la bolsa permanente (según modelo) – Si el indicador de
comprobación de la bolsa (P15) está encendido, compruebe el estado de la bolsa y,
si fuera necesario, vacíe la bolsa permanente.

1. Extraiga la manguera del aparato (P1).

2. Apriete los botones del mango (P16) y retire la portezuela de la bolsa (P17).

3. Tire del collarín de la bolsa para poder sacarla (P18) del aparato.

4. Extraiga la guía de plástico que se encuentra en el extremo de la bolsa para

que la suciedad recogida caiga dentro del cubo de la basura (P19).

5. Devuelva la guía a su posición original.

6. Sustituya la bolsa permanente introduciendo el collarín de la bolsa en el

portabolsa.

7. Compruebe los filtros para ver si se ha acumulado una cantidad excesiva de

suciedad y, si fuera necesario, limpie el filtro lavable (consulte el apartado
“Limpieza de los filtros lavables”).

Extracción del filtro de salida de aire

y premotor

Para extraer el filtro premotor Hepa (según modelo):

1. Abra la portezuela de la bolsa y saque la bolsa del aspirador (consulte el

apartado “Cambio de bolsa”).

2. Presione el seguro situado en la parte superior del soporte del filtro premotor

Hepa para desengancharlo del aspirador. A continuación, incline el filtro y
sáquelo del aspirador (P20).

Para extraer el filtro premotor Purefilt (según modelo):

1. Abra la portezuela de la bolsa y saque la bolsa del aspirador (consulte el
apartado “Cambio de bolsa”).

2. Tire de los seguros que se encuentran en la rejilla del filtro para sacarla del
cuerpo principal del aspirador (P21).

3. Extraiga el filtro premotor lavable Purefilt de la rejiilla del filtro (P22).

Para extraer el filtro Purefilt de salida de aire:

1. Desenganche y retire la tapa del filtro de salida de aire (P23).

2. Retire el filtro lavable de salida de aire.

Limpieza de la bolsa permanente (según modelo) – Para que su aspirador
mantenga un rendimiento óptimo recomendamos que lave la bolsa permanente con
agua templada tras cada 5 vaciados de la bolsa. Elimine el agua que sobre con un
paño seco y deje que los filtros se sequen por completo antes de colocarlos de
nuevo.

Limpieza de los filtros lavables - Para que su aspirador mantenga un rendimiento
óptimo, golpee suavemente el filtro premotor y

el de salida de aire y, si fuera preciso,
lávelos con agua templada cada vez que cambie la bolsa. Elimine el agua que sobre
con un paño seco y deje que los filtros se sequen por completo antes de colocarlos
de nuevo.

Importante: No utilice detergentes ni agua caliente para lavar los filtros ni la bolsa
permanente.. En el caso improbable de que la bolsa permanente o los filtros
sufrieran algún desperfecto, sustitúyalos por piezas de repuesto originales de Candy.
No intente utilizar el producto sin estar instalados la bolsa o los filtros.

Eliminación de una obstrucción en el sistema - Si el indicador de comprobación
de la bolsa está encendido:

• Compruebe si la bolsa está llena. En caso afirmativo, consulte “Cambio de bolsa”.

• Si el indicador está encendido aunque la bolsa no está llena:

1. ¿Cabe la posibilidad de que sea preciso limpiar los filtros? En caso
afirmativo, consulte el apartado "Limpieza de los filtros lavables".

2. Compruebe si existe alguna otra obstrucción en el sistema - Utilice una
varilla

o una barra para eliminar cualquier obstrucción del tubo de extensión

o de la manguera flexible.

Advertencia - El indicador de comprobación de la bolsa permanecerá encendido si
se utiliza el aparato con la bolsa llena, si hay alguna obstrucción o si los filtros están
sucios. Si se utiliza el aparato durante más de diez minutos con el indicador de
comprobación de la bolsa encendido, se activará un cortocircuitador electrónico para
apagar el aspirador y evitar así cualquier riesgo de sobrecalentamiento. Si se diera
este caso, apague el aspirador, desenchúfelo y subsane la avería (consulte el
apartado "Eliminación de una obstrucción en el sistema"). El cortocircuitador se
rearmará automáticamente cuando se encienda de nuevo el aspirador.

LISTA DE COMPROBACIONES QUE DEBE REALIZAR EL USUARIO:

Si surgiera algún problema con el producto, lleve a cabo las sencillas
comprobaciones que se enumeran a continuación antes de llamar a su Servicio de
reparaciones local de Candy.

• ¿Hay suministro de corriente para el aspirador? Pruebe con otro aparato eléctrico

• ¿Está demasiado llena la bolsa de polvo? Consulte "Mantenimiento del aspirador"

• ¿Está obstruido el filtro? Consulte "Limpieza del filtro permanente lavable"

• ¿Está obstruida la manguera o la tobera? Consulte "Eliminación de una

obstrucción en el sistema"
