If you decide not to use the appliance of this type anymore, it is recommended that you make it inoperable by cutting off the mains cord after removing the plug from the mains outlet.
You should also render harmless
those parts of the appliance that could be dangerous, especially for children who might use an abandoned appliance as a toy.
Installation must be performed
according to the manufacturer’s instructions. Incorrect installation could cause damage to person, animals and things, for which the manufacturer cannot be held responsible.
To avoid dangerous overheating, it is recommended that you unwind the electrical cord to its entire length and that you use the appliance as recommended in “Precautions”.
Do not leave the appliance connected when not in use. Remove the plug from the mains outlet when the appliance is not used.
Do not block openings, air intakes or heat outlets.
If the electrical cord of this appliance is damaged, it must be replaced by an Authorized Customer Service Centre since specialized tools are necessary.

Read these instructions carefully as they contain important information about safe installation, use, and maintenance.
Keep this manual with care for future
reference.
After removing the packaging, and before using the appliance, make sure the appliance and all the accessories are working well. If you have any doubt, do not use the appliance until you consult a professionally qualiÀ ed electrician.
The packing materials (plastic bags, expanded polystyrene, nails, etc) should be kept away from children since they are potential sources of danger.
Before connecting the appliance, make sure the line voltage is correct. The tag is located on the bottom of the body of the motor unit.
If the plug does not À
t into the wall outlet, have the wall outlet replaced with another type by a qualified electrician. He must also check that the cord is suitable for the power absorbed by the appliance.
In general, it is not advisable to use
an adaptor, multiple sockets, or an extension cord.

This produce complies with the Directive 2002/96/EC. The symbol representing the cros­sed out trash can on the appliance indicates that the product, at the end of its useful life, must be tre­ated separately from domestic wa­ste. It must be taken to a recycling centre for electrical and electronic appliances or turned in to the point of sale when purcha­sing a new, equivalent, appliance. The user is responsible for taking the applian­ce to the recycling centre at the end of its life, under penalty of the sanctions foreseen by the current legislation on waste handling. Correct consignment of the no-longer used appliance to a recycling centre for treatment and environmentally compatible elimination contributes to avoiding a negative impact on the environment and public health, and permits recycling of the materials from which the pro­duct is made. • The wires in the mains lead are coloured in accordance with the following code.
• Blue – NEUTRAL Brown – LIVE.
• If your appliance is À tted with a non- rewireable mains plug which is not suitable for the socket outlets in your home, the plug must be cut off and an appropriate one À tted.
NOTE:
• A plug cut off from a Á exible cord will give a shock hazard if inserted in a 13 amp socket elsewhere in the house. To avoid this, it should be disposed of immediately.
• If you are À tting an alternative type of plug then the colours of the wires in the mains lead of the appliance may not correspond with the coloured markings identifying the terminals on your plug.
In this case proceed as follows:
- The wire which is coloured
BLUE must be connected to the terminal which is marked with the letter N or coloured BLACK.
- The wire which is coloured
BROWN must be connected to the terminal which is marked with the letter L or coloured RED.
NOTE:
• For your addotional safety, the appliance has been double insulated and must not be earthed.
• Therefore do not connect either of the wires to the earth terminal of the three pin plug.
• If a 13 amp (BS1363) plug is used a 13 amp (BS 1362) fuse must be À tted either in the plug, adaptor or at the fuse board.
NOTE:
• The fuse cover of a non-rewireable plug must be reÀ tted when changing the fuse. Should the fuse cover become lost, the plug must not be used until the correct replacement fuse cover is obtained from our service department or stockist.

Cleaning
Before cleaning, ALWAYS remove
the plug from the mains socket.
Switch the appliance off prior to
approaching the parts that are in movement during use.
To clean the motor unit (1) use a
damp cloth and avoid abrasive
detergents.
Never immerse the motor unit (1)
in water or other liquids.
Never wash the motor unit (1) in
the dishwasher (À g.“W”).
All parts, except the motor unit (1),
can be washed with warm water and ordinary detergents for dishes.
Those parts, except the motor unit
(1), can be washed in the dishwasher at a temperature not higher than 65°C (À g.“W”).
The blades are very sharp; handle
them with great care.
Discoloration that may occur when the appliance comes into contact with certain foods (e.g. an orange colour when carrots are blended) can be removed with a cloth soaked in cooking oil.
Before inserting the plug in the
mains outlet, ensure that the appliance and all its components are completely dry and correctly assembled.
Before putting the appliance away,
make sure the parts are cleaned carefully to avoid the forming of bacteria.
After use, the electric power cable can be stored in the special compartment (1c) on the base of the device (Fig.“X”).
