Dear Cambridge Audio Owner,

Thank you for purchasing this D500 Compact Disc player

At Cambridge Audio we are dedicated to the manufacture
of quality audio products of the highest possible value.
Typical of all our hi-fi separates, this D500 is capable of
true hi-end performance without the inflated price tag
normally associated with hi-end equipment. We have
achieved this by careful design, thorough attention to
detail, streamlined production techniques and by listening
to our customers. We are grateful that you have selected
this product and would welcome any comments that you
may have.

The D500 utilises a highly advanced control system that
has been custom designed by Sony for Cambridge Audio.
At the heart of this system is a VLSI (very large scale
integration) circuit which dynamically adjusts the focusing,
tracking, and output level of the laser for the maximum
retrieval of digital information. Separate digital and analogue
stabilised power supplies and high quality clock modules,
employing jitter regulation are coupled to the latest Crystal
DAC to give an outstanding level of performance and
reliability.

At Cambridge Audio we realise that the customer’s needs
will change, and for this reason the D500, along with the
rest of the D Series Compact Disc players, have
interchangable DAC boards for future upgrading.

No corners have been cut concerning build quality, with
our new slimline solid aluminium facia and custom designed
ergonomic shuttle control switch for simply, quick use.
