User Instructions
Important please read these instructions for use carefully so as to familiarise yourself with the appliance before connecting it to its gas cartridge/cylinder. Keep these instructions for future reference.
• ONLY use plastic barbecue utensils as other
materials will damage the non-stick cooking plate.
• Preparation before cooking – To prevent
foods from sticking to the cooking grill, please use a brush to apply a light coat
of cooking or vegetable oil before each
barbecuing session.
• “Check that gas seals” are in place and in
good condition before connecting to the gas cartridge/cylinder.
Lighting the ‘Calor Mini BBQ’
1. Ensure cartridge/cylinder is in the upright position.
2. Turn on gas supply at the regulator valve.
3. Push control dial in and turn slowly to “*”
position where ignition by spark should occur. If not, try again.
4. Hold dial in for at least ten seconds to ensure the burner stays lit.
5. If burner does not stay lit after holding dial
in for ten seconds, turn the dial to OFF
position and wait for 1 minute and try again. Do not continuously hold the dial in as you may cause a build up of gas.
6. In windy conditions shield from wind to ensure easy lighting.
7. Turn control dial to alter burner settings as
required.
End of Cooking Session
After each cooking session, turn the ‘Calor Mini BBQ’ burner to the ‘high’ position and
burn for 10 minutes. This procedure will burn
off cooking residue, thus making cleaning easier.
Turning Off Your ‘Calor Mini BBQ’
1. First turn off at the regulator and then after
extinction of the flame, turn off at the control knob.
2. Disconnect from the gas cartridge/cylinder.
Siting Instructions
• This ‘Calor Mini BBQ’ is for OUTDOOR USE ONLY and should be placed in a well ventilated area.
• Take care to ensure that it is not placed UNDER any combustible surface.
• The sides of the ‘Calor Mini BBQ’ should NEVER be closer than 1 metre from any
combustible surface. Keep this ‘Calor Mini BBQ’ away from any flammable materials.
• Important – Do not obstruct any ventilation openings in the ‘Calor Mini BBQ’ body.
• Should you need to change the gas cartridge/cylinder, confirm that the ‘Calor Mini BBQ’ is switched off.
• The gas bottle shall be changed outside
away from people, and away from any sources of ignition, such as naked flames, pilots, electric fires and away from other people.
If there is a leak on your appliance (smell of gas), first turn off the gas supply and take the appliance into a flame free location where the leak may be detected and stopped. Do not try to detect leaks using a flame. Use soapy water. The Calor Mini BBQ must be placed on a horizontal surface.

WARNINGS
• Avoid twisting the exible hose.
• This product is for OUTDOOR USE ONLY.
• NEVER use indoors, in an enclosed area or below ground level.
• This ‘Calor Mini BBQ’ shall only be used with
a propane gas cartridge, 6kg lightweight patio cylinder or 11kg patio cylinder (IE) or a 5kg lightweight patio cylinder or 13kg patio cylinder (UK). It may be hazardous to attempt to fit any other types of gas cartridges/cylinders.
• Failure to read and follow these instructions
could result in serious injury or damage to property.
• This product will become hot when in use –
take care when touching.
• Keep children and pets at a safe distance
from the unit when in use.
• DO NOT move this product when in use.
• Always turn off gas supply at the gas cylinder
when not in use.
• Any modication of this ‘Calor Mini BBQ’ may
be dangerous.
• DO NOT leave this product unattended
when in use.
• ALWAYS ensure the cylinder is vertical at all
times.
• ONLY use the ‘Calor Mini BBQ’ on a at LEVEL
non-flammable surface or ground.
• AVOID using the ‘Calor Mini BBQ’ in violent
winds.
• When positioning, ensure the unit is a minimum
of 1 metre from flammable items or structure.
• This ‘Calor Mini BBQ’ is not intended for use
with charcoal or other similar fuel.
• Always leak test the unit – annually, when
dismantled, when parts are replaced, or if
the gas cartridge/cylinder is removed or
replaced.
• When storing the ‘Calor Mini BBQ’ or gas
cartridge/cylinder, ensure that they are away from flammable materials or liquids.
• Always follow care and maintenance instructions – regularly maintain your ‘Calor Mini BBQ’.
• DO NOT allow grease, fat or food residue to build up in or on the ‘Calor Mini BBQ’ – RISK OF FIRE.
• Always replace worn parts – do not use ‘Calor Mini BBQ’ if a leak, wear, or damage is
found.
• Never overload the grill with food.
• DO NOT store or cover the ‘Calor Mini BBQ’
until fully cooled.
• CAUTION: accessible parts may become very hot.
Keep young children away from the appliance.
• Please note the unit may are during it’s warming up period. Warming up period may
take approximately 20 minutes.
• Do not use an appliance which is leaking,
damaged or which does not operate properly.
• Always inspect hose for cuts, cracks or excessive wear before use. If hose is damaged
it must be replaced with a hose suitable for
use with LPG and meet the national standards
for country of use. Hose length should not be longer than 1.5 metres.
• Position the exible hose to ensure it is not
subjected to twisting.

CARE AND MAINTENANCE
• Regularly clean your ‘Calor Mini BBQ’
between uses and especially after extended periods of storage.
• Ensure the ‘Calor Mini BBQ’ and it’s
components are sufficiently cool before cleaning.
• Do not leave the ‘Calor Mini BBQ’ exposed to
outside weather conditions or stored in damp, moist areas.
• Never douse the ‘Calor Mini BBQ’ with water
when its surfaces are hot.
• Never handle hot parts with unprotected
hands.
• Protect hands with heat resistant gloves.
• In order to extend the life and maintain the condition of your ‘Calor Mini BBQ’, we strongly recommend that the unit is covered
when left outside for any length of time, especially during the winter months.
• IMPORTANT – We recommend that servicing
of this appliance should be performed either
after every 100 hours of use or annually, which ever is achieved soonest.
Cleaning The Grill
• Clean with hot soapy water.
• To remove any food residue, use a mild cream cleaner on a non-abrasive pad.
• Rinse well and dry thoroughly.
Burner Maintenance
• The grill plate can be cleaned in the
dishwasher.
• In normal usage, burning off the residue after
cooking will keep the burners clean.
• The burner should be removed and cleaned annually, or whenever a build-up of residue
is found, to ensure that there are no signs of blockage (debris, insects) in either the burner
portholes or the venturi tubes.
Barbecue Body
• Regularly remove excess grease or fat from the ‘Calor Mini BBQ’ body and grease tray with a
soft plastic or wooden scraper.
• To clean fully, use hot soapy water and a cloth,
or nylon-bristled brush only.
• Do not immerse the gas controls or manifold in
wat er.
Storage
• Store your ‘Calor Mini BBQ’ in a cool dry place. There is also a handy storage area in the base
for a propane gas cartridge. (see image)
• Cover the burners with aluminium foil in order to prevent insects or other debris
from collecting in burner holes.
• If the ‘Calor Mini BBQ’ is to be stored
indoors, the gas cartridge/cylinder must
be disconnected and left outside. The gas
cartridge/cylinder should always be stored
outside, in a dry, well-ventilated area, away
from any sources of heat or ignition.
• Do not let children tamper with the bottle.

Leak Testing
• If you suspect a gas leakage check all joints
by using a brush and soapy water.
• If bubbles form over a joint there is a leak.
• Turn off the gas.
• Ensure that all gas joints are tightly  tted.
• Repeat test. If bubbles form do not use the ‘Calor Mini BBQ’ and contact the helpline.
• Leak test annually and whenever the gas cartridge/cylinder is removed or replaced.
• This barbecue is used with a 6kg/11kg (IE) or 5kg/13kg (GB) Propane cylinder or a small
propane gas cartridge.
Use Propane LPG bottled gas only.
• Gas cylinders should never be laid on their side. Cartridges without valves may be
stored on their side.
• Gas cylinders must always be stored outdoors, above ground and in a well ventilated location.
CAUTION
• Regularly clean your barbecue after every
use.
• If you smell gas – turn off the barbecue,
extinguish all fl ames. If the odour continues, immediately contact your gas supplier.
• In the event of an uncontrollable  re,
immediately turn off the gas supply,
disconnect gas valve from gas cartridge/ cylinder moving it away from  re and contact the  re services. DO NOT PUT YOURSELF AT RISK!
• Ensure aerosols are not used near this unit
when in use.
• Ensure all packaging and plastic bags are
disposed of safely.
• Refer to instructions supplied with
regulators to connect and disconnect from gas cylinders/cartridge.
• Change the gas cartridge/cylinder outside
and away from people. Check that the
burner is extinguished before disconnecting the gas cartridge/cylinder.
• It may be hazardous to attempt to  t other
type gas cartridges/cylinders.
Warning
Do not use the appliance if it has damaged or worn seals. Do not use an appliance which is leaking, damaged or which does not operate properly. It may be hazardous to attempt to fi t other types of gas connectors. Any parts sealed by the manufacturer must not be altered.

6 Easy Steps To Setting up your ‘Calor Mini BBQ’
ASSEMBLY MUST BE CARRIED OUT BY A COMPETENT PERSON.
ALTHOUGH EVERY PRECAUTION HAS BEEN TAKEN TO ELIMINATE SHARP EDGES ALWAYS TAKE CARE WHEN HANDLING METAL COMPONENTS.
Undo clasps holding base to grill body and lift body
away from base. Place base and body on a solid, level surface.
Install grease tray by sliding tray into rear of grill. Flip bottle retaining loop in base so loop is outside
base.
Lift wooden cutting board away from grill top and
place onto base.
Slide the base loop around
the handle’s screw to
connect the base and grill.
Unclip hose and regulator assembly from bottom of grill. Screw gas cylinder onto regulator.
Place connected gas cylinder into retaining loop in
base.
