Warranty Registration
Please visit www.califone.com to register your Performer Plus™ Media Player for warranty coverage. This media player is built to the same standards as the rest of our prod­ucts which teachers rely on day in and day out. Califone warrants this player to be free from defective material and workmanship for one year from the purchase date. Our “Project Intercept” Customer Satisfaction program will re­place defective parts and repair malfunctioning products under this warranty when the defect occurs under normal installation and use, provided the unit is returned to our factory via prepaid transportation only after the factory is­sues an RA (Return Authorization) number which must be clearly written on the outside of the box.
Unpacking your Performer Plus™
Inspection and inventory of your system. Check unit carefully for damage that may have occurred during transit. Each DVD110 product is carefully inspected at the factory and packed in a special carton for safe transport.
Returning your unit for service or repairs
Should your unit require service, contact your dealer or our Customer Service Department at (800) 722-0500 to obtain a Return Authorization (RA) number. All shipments to Califone must include an RA number on the carton and must shipped prepaid. C.O.D. shipments will be refused and returned at your cost.

Initial Setup
AC Line Operation
1. The power cord is located at the rear of the unit. Release the cord retainer tab and uncoil the cord.
2. Plug the cord into a standard 120 volt 50-60 Hz AC outlet. Be sure the plug blades are fully inserted.
THE UNIT IS ON WHEN PLUGGED IN.
Battery Operation
1. The battery compartment is located at the rear of the unit. Push the lever at the center of the door toward
the rear of the unit, then lift the door free.
2. Eight “D” size batteries are required. Refer to the orientation diagram shown inside the battery compartment
when installing. Place the batteries on top of the nylon ribbon to help “pop” out the old batteries when you
need to replace them.
3. Replace the battery cover.
IMPORTANT:
Remove all batteries from your cassette unit if it will not be used for an extended period of time.
DO NOT USE RECHARGEABLE BATTERIES AND DO NOT LEAVE DISCHARGED BATTERIES IN THE BATTERY COMPARTMENT.
NOTE:
Califone cassette player/recorders are designed for use only with 60 minute Type 1 Normal Bias recording tape.
All Damage Claims Must Be Made With The Freight Carrier
Notify the freight carrier immediately if you observe any damage the shipping carton or product. Repack the unit in the carton and await inspection by the carrier’s claim agent. Notify your dealer of the pending freight claim.
