IMPORTANT INSTRUCTIONS
WARNING Turn the electrical power off at the electrical panel board (circuit breaker or fuse box) and lock or tag the panel board door to prevent someone from turning on power while you are working on the heater. Failure to do so could result in serious electrical shock, burns, or possible death.
IF YOU ARE UNCOMFORTABLE WORKING WITH ELECTRICAL APPLIANCES, UNABLE TO FOLLOW
THESE GUIDELINES, OR DO NOT HAVE THE NECESSARY EQUIPMENT, CONSULT A LICENSED ELECTRICIAN
1. It is important that you verify power has been turned off and no power is going to the heater before proceeding. Circuit breakers are often not marked correctly and turning the wrong breaker off could mean electricity is owing to the
heater, even if the heater does not appear to be working.
Note:
Now is the perfect opportunity to clean your heater. See original product Owner’s Guide or go to cadetheat.com/support/install-help#install
and nd our detailed cleaning instruction video.

INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS
1. Remove knob (if applicable) and screws that hold grill in place.
2. Remove grill.
3. Remove securing screw at the top of heater and remove
heatbox from wall can.
4. Unwiring
A. Remove insulated wire connectors that connect heatbox to wall can.
B. Cut as many wire-ties on back of heatbox as necessary
for easier accessibility.
C. Cut both wires one inch above upper pass through. (See Figure 1)
5. With heater facing upward, remove the screw at the bottom
of face cover. (See Figure 2)
6. Lift face from bottom and slide over tab on top of box and set aside.
7. Bend a single tab at top of shell ange (right or left side) with pliers to allow shell ange to move outward. (See Figure 4)
8. Pull old element from slots and set aside.
9. Feed new element wires through upper 5/16” hole. Make sure
element end with wires is closest to pass through hole and DO NOT
leave any slack in lines.
10. Carefully place new element in element slots. (See Figure 4)
11. Align side tab and slot on heater shell. Bend side tab 45 degrees
to secure shell. (See Figure 4)
12. Take face cover previously set aside and place over tab on top.
Be sure the face covers shell ange completely and snugly. All
pieces of ange must be within edges of face to secure it properly.
13. Tighten securing screw on bottom of face. (See Figure 2)
14. Wiring
A. Attach new element wires to lead wires using wire connectors.
(See Figure 1)
B. Fasten wiring with wire ties so all wires t neatly to the side of the
motor and are out of the way. Cut off wire tie ends.
C. Re-connect supply lead wires to heater securely, using wire
connectors. Double check connections for tightness.
15. Reinstall heater into wall can, tabs rst, then attach screw.
16. Attach grill and knob (if applicable).
