This manual and the tasks and procedures described herein are intended for use by skilled workers only.
A skilled worker is dened as a trained and qualied electrician or installer who has all of the following skills and
experience:

• Knowledge of the functional principles and operation of on-grid systems.

• Knowledge of the dangers and risks associated with installing and using electrical devices and acceptable mitigation
methods.

• Knowledge of the installation of electrical devices.

• Knowledge of and adherence to this manual, the complete installation manual and all safety precautions and best
practices.

In order to ensure the normal operation of the Battery-Box, please be sure to update the rmware to the latest version and
nish the conguration on Battery-Box interface in accordance with this document.

• The system switch must be off before installing.

• Please make sure the system switch is off in case the system is not working. The installation and correct working mode
should be nished in any case within one week to avoiding over discharge or other irreversible damages.

• Please do not stack up batteries without protective package when storing or handling batteries, unless in the case of
installation.

Dieses Handbuch und die hier beschriebenen Aufgaben und Verfahren sind ausschließlich für die Verwendung durch

Als Fachkraft gilt ein ausgebildeter und qualizierter Elektriker oder Installateur, der über alle folgenden Fähigkeiten und
Erfahrungen verfügt:

• Kenntnis der Funktionsprinzipien und des Betriebs von Netzsystemen.

• Kenntnis der Gefahren und Risiken, die mit der Installation und Verwendung elektrischer Geräte sowie mit akzeptablen
Minderungsmethoden nach gültigem Stand der Technik verbunden sind.

• Kenntnis der Installation elektrischer Geräte.

• Kenntnis und Befolgung dieses Handbuchs, des vollständigen Installationshandbuchs sowie aller
Sicherheitsvorkehrungen und fachlicher Praxis.

Um den normalen Betrieb der Battery-Box sicherzustellen, müssen Sie die Firmware auf die neueste Version aktualisieren
und die Konguration der Battery-Box-Interfaces gemäß diesem Dokument abschließen.

• Der Systemschalter muss vor der Installation ausgeschaltet sein.

• Stellen Sie sicher, dass der Systemschalter ausgeschaltet ist, falls das System nicht korrekt funktioniert. Die Installation
und der korrekte Betrieb soll nach Aufbau innerhalb einer Woche erfolgen um eine Tiefenentladung oder andere dauerhafte
Schäden oder Probleme zu vermeiden.

• Bitte stapeln Sie keine Batterien ohne Schutzverpackung, wenn Sie die Batterien lagern oder handhaben, es sei denn, Sie
führen die Installation durch.

1 Cut the BMS cable of the Goodwe ET (according to Goodwe Manual).
2 Connect the blue PIN to terminal block position 6 and the white-blue PIN to terminal block position 8, according to the picture.
3 Download the Goodwe App to setup the inverter. Please refer to the Goodwe installation manual.

1 Durchtrennen Sie das mitgelieferte Kommunikationskabel des Goodwe ET (entsprechend der Goodwe Anleitung). Achten Sie auf eine ausreichende Kabellänge.
2 Verbinden Sie die blaue Ader (Goodwe) mit Pin 6 der BCU (BYD) und die weiß-blaue Ader (Goodwe) mit Pin 8 der BCU (BYD) entsprechend dem Bild.
3 Laden Sie sich die GoodWe-App herunter, für die Einstellungen am Wechselrichter. Beziehen Sie sich hierbei auf das Goodwe Handbuch.

2. When connecting the meter in the second connection mode, the jumper cap JP2 in the BCU must be unplugged. If not unplugged, it is possible that the

2. Wenn der Fronius Smart Meter entsprechend der zweiten Verbindungsmethode angeschlossen wird, muss die Jumperkappe JP2 in der BCU entfernt wer­den. Bei Betrieb beider Kommunikationsbuchsen mit gesteckter Jumperkappe JP2, kann es zu Kommunikationsproblemen kommen.

Charge or discharge the original battery system so that its SOC becomes 30% to 40%, and add a new battery module. The small SOC difference will be automatically
balanced within about 2 weeks. (Battery-Box capacity may vary within this time).

Laden oder entladen Sie das ursprüngliche Batteriesystem so, dass der Ladezustand 30% bis 40% beträgt. Fügen Sie dann ein neues Batteriemodul hinzu. Die kleine
