Bushnell TOUR V3 Instructions Manual

Method 1
BUSHNELL TOUR V3 INSTRUCTIONS
(Also applicable to the Tour V2)
The single magnet Quick Clip is all you need for the V3. The magnet on it has a magnetic attraction of 85 pounds so it cant dislodge from the cart frame. That said though, if you drive the cart recklessly and/or hit a severe bump at high speed, it is possible for the V3 (or any rangefinder for that matter) to pop out of the keyhole slot.
Method 2 (a better alternative):
Weve drawn black oval (see all pictures below) on the optimal spot at the laser lens end on a Bushnell V3 (or V2) where you would need to place our belt clip tab/3M adhesive disk assembly. You would do the same for any of the other Bushnell Lasers as well as many other brands and models of laser rangefinders. This spot is where you need to carefully place the belt clip tab/3M adhesive disk assembly (see 2nd page picture) for the optimal center of gravity. With your Quick Clip, we include 3 (two spares) of these belt clip tab/3M adhesive disk assemblies, extra alcohol cleaning pads and extra 3M adhesive disks.
Using the included alcohol cleaning pad, clean the spot on your Bushnell and allow to dry. This removes any oils, sweat, grease and other yucky stuff so the adhesion is optimized. Peel the paper backing off of one of the belt clip tab/3M adhesive disk assemblies. Carefully place the belt clip tab on the black oval as shown in the picture. CAUTION: The belt clip tab/3M adhesive will want to stick immediately to whatever it touches so use care when placing it on the spot and try not to touch the adhesive with your fingers. Apply some pressure on the belt clip tab for about 30 seconds. . Allow it to set and cure” for a minimum of 48 hours (72 hours if possible is even better) before using your V2 or V3 in the Quick Clip keyhole slot. That will enhance the adhesive properties of the 3M adhesive disk. The 3M adhesive is a viscoelastic polymer that is extremely strong and durable. By allowing 48 to 72 hours curing time”, the viscoelastic adhesive molds itself over time into the microscopic imperfections of the two joining surfaces. Here is a link to a 3M document that includes the full details as well as videos of the 3M VHB adhesive.

IMPORTANT NOTE: : If you follow the directions “to the letter”, it will stick instantly and you wont be able to remove it using your fingers/hands (you may draw blood). It certainly cannot come off during your everyday use on the golf cart. If you ever need to remove the belt clip tab, simply warm the adhesive with a hair dryer. The
adhesive will soften and you can peel off the belt clip tab, though it still wont be easy. Dont try to re-use that 3M adhesive that you peeled off as it loses some of its adhesiveness. Remove it and use a fresh adhesive disk. You can re-use the round black belt clip tab. Remove any remaining adhesive and clean it with an alcohol pad or a clean cloth with a dab of isopropyl (rubbing) alcohol. Carefully (see CAUTION above) place the fresh 3M adhesive disk on the belt clip tab.
