Introduction
This device is extremely versatile and can measure the moisture content of
cut wood, plasterboard, paper or cardboard as well as of solid materials such
as concrete and screed. This is shown directly on the display. The device can
also measure the ambient temperature. The DRY PS 7400 moisture meter is
extremely easy to operate.

1. Before using the device, you must read these instructions carefully to
ensure that you operate the device safely. Keep these instructions in a
safe place.
2. Keep the device away from children and unauthorized persons.
3. For safety reasons and to maintain the warranty
on the device, repairs to the measuring device must only be carried out
by qualified personnel using genuine parts.
4. Never expose the device to an electric voltage,
as this could damage the electronics.
5. Do not use the device in the vicinity of inflammable or explosive gases.
6. Do not use the device if it is defective.
7. Handle the device with care and do not drop it.
8. To avoid functional errors, do not dismantle the device.
9. Keep the device clean and dry.
10. When not in use, the device should be stored in the bag supplied.
11. Avoid contact with water and dust.
12. Do not use abrasive cleaners or solvents to clean the device. Use a damp
cloth and mild detergent.
13. Check the battery/batteries regularly to prevent damage.
14. Remove the battery if you are not going to use
the device for a long period.

Operating the device
Press the ON/OFF button to switch on the device.
Selecting the required mode: after switching on the device, you must
press the button for approx. 3 seconds to enter the selection mode (the
symbol flashes in the display). Now press the button as many times as
necessary until the required symbol appears in the display.
Four modes can be selected:
1. Wood moisture measuring mode
2. Mode for measuring solid materials such as screed
3. Ambient temperature measurement in °C
4. Ambient temperature measurement in °F
After selecting the required mode, wait for a further 3 seconds. The device
now adjusts automatically and you can begin taking readings.

date of purchase. The warranty does not cover damage caused by improper
use, overloading the device or incorrect storage as well as normal wear and
defects that only have an insignificant effect on the value or usability of the
device.
The warranty shall be immediately invalidated if unauthorized persons work

on the device. In the event that a warranty claim arises, please hand over the
entire device incl. packaging, description and batteries along with the sales
receipt to your dealer.
Taking measurements
1. To measure moisture, you must first select the required mode. Then push
the test prods into the object you wish to measure. The reading appears
on the display. If the display shows “OL” (Out of limit) the moisture of the
object is beyond the measurement range.
2. For ambient temperature measurements, you can read the temperature
from the display immediately after you select the correct mode.
Automatic switching off:
The device switches off automatically after 15 seconds if no
measurement is taken.

Disposing of the device
Dear Customer,
Please help to reduce waste. Should you decide to dispose of the device, bear
in mind that many of the components it contains are made from valuable
material that can be recycled.
Please do not throw the device into the normal waste bin. Contact the
responsible office in your area and ask about collection points for electrical
waste.
