OPERATION
This tool was designed for use with maximum load capacity of 2,500 pounds. Under no circumstances should it be used to lift a load. Do not wrap the strap around the load and hook it back on itself. Doing so will cause undue stress to be exerted on the strap causing it to malfunction.
Do not use the entire length of strap. Leave at least five full turns of strap on the ratchet at all times. Do not lengthen the handle to add additional leverage. Suddenly starting or jerking against load may create excess load causing product failure.
Make sure that the winch is properly bolted to a stable and secure structure that can support the weight of the winch and the load being pulled.
Use wheel chocks and the emergency brake in the vehicle before using the winch.
REFER TO THE VEHICLE OR BOAT OWNERS MANUAL BEFORE USE
CONNECTING THE ANCHOR HOOK
Once the anchor point on a load has been identified, attach the Anchor Hook (A, Figure 1) making certain the Safety Latch (B, Figure 1) closes completely. Make sure the anchor point and load are within five feet of each other.
CONNECTING THE LOAD HOOK
Attach the Load Hook (A, Figure 1) to the object you wish to move, making certain the Safety Latch (B, Figure 1) closes completely. Do not loop the strap around the object and hook onto itself. When enough strap has been dispensed, locking the strap in place.
As shown in the ‘Up’ Position (Figure 2), press the Lock Lever down to engage the Ratchet and Lock the Winch.
Secure the load once it has been moved to its intended position. To release the Hand Winch, move the Lock Lever to the ‘Up’ position.
