Getting to know your
BT Mobile Hotspot

Indicator Status What’s happening
Network
Red solid Error status. BT Mobile SIM card isn’t
registered to the BT Mobile Network,
no SIM card inserted or no BT Mobile
Network service available
Green solid Connected to the BT Mobile Network
Green flashing Connected to the BT Mobile Network
and transferring data
Wi-fi
Blue solid Wi-fi is active
Blue flashing WPS (Wi-fi Protected Setup) is active
Off Wi-fi is off or your BT Mobile
Hotspot is in sleep mode
Battery
Red solid/
flashing
The battery is low and needs charging
Green flashing The battery is being charged
Green solid The battery level is middle or high
Off Your BT Mobile Hotspot is in standby
mode and not being charged, or the
battery isn’t fitted

1 Slide the back cover to remove it.
2 Insert your BT Mobile SIM card.
Important: your BT Mobile Hotspot doesn’t support
Micro, Nano or any other non-standard SIM cards.

3 If you want to use your BT Mobile Hotspot as a data storage
device, insert a microSD
™
card. (This is optional, you don’t
need a microSD card to use your BT Mobile Hotspot.)
