Install the batteries
Your BT Freeway Mini mobile radios each use 3 x AAA
alkaline batteries.
With the back of radio facing you, slide down the
battery compartment cover.
Insert 3 x AAA alkaline batteries ensuring that the + and
– marked on the batteries match up with those marked
inside the battery compartment as shown.
Slide the battery cover back into place.
If the belt clip is attached, you will
need to remove it first, see
‘Attaching the belt clip’, page 6.
Battery low warning
When the batteries are low and
need replacing, your BT Freeway
Mini radio repeatedly gives a
double beep.
The operation of your radio will be
become unreliable when the
batteries are low.
If the battery level gets too low,
your radio will automatically
switch off.
For long-term storage of your
radios it is recommended that you
remove the batteries.

Getting started
Attaching the belt clip (optional)
Slide down the belt clip into the slot on the back of the
radio until it clicks into place.
Removing the belt clip
Pull back the release catch, and slide the belt clip up
and away from the radio.
