Note: The keyboard has two functions, one function is a Keyboard, the other function is a Touchpad. You need to switch mode when using different function. When the keyboard is in Touchpad mode, the "Caps" LED lights will flash.

Note: The touchpad function is only available using Mac and Windows systems. Not available for use on tablets/smartphones.
When using Mac or Windows systems, some of the gestures may be different between the two. You will need to switch to the corresponding system model when using the Touchpad. Refer to the Touchpad Gesture guide for specific controls for each.
To use function keys: Press the "Fn" key at the same time as the numbered function keys.
For example: If you are trying to use the function of the F1 key, press "Fn+F1" at the same time.

CHARGING THE KEYBOARD
1. Plug the USB CHARGING CORD (included) into the CHARGING OUTLET and then into any USB outlet.
2. The Charging LED will illuminate red color during charging, and shuts off when charging is completed.
3. The Keyboard takes approximately 3 hours to be fully charged.
Note: The Power LED indicator will blink when the Keyboard’s battery needs recharging.
SYNCING THE BLUETOOTH KEYBOARD TO YOUR TABLET OR SMARTPHONE
1. Power on your device.
2. Press the Power button on the Bluetooth
®
keyboard to turn on the keyboard. The
power LED will illuminate and the Bluetooth
®
LED will flash.
3. Select the Settings icon on your device.
4. Locate and select “Bluetooth” in your device’s “General” menu.
5. Under “Devices”, select “Brookstone Bluetooth Keyboard”.

6. The Brookstone Bluetooth Keyboard should now show connected in your device's menu.
7. The Power LED will remain illuminated while the Keyboard is powered on.
8. Press the power button in 3 seconds to turn off when you are done using the keyboard.
9. If your device goes into standby mode, the Bluetooth
®
Keyboard should still be synced . If you power-off your device, you may need to re-sync. If you use the Bluetooth
®
Keyboard with a new device, or it doesn’t connect properly, follow the
steps above to re-sync. Note: The Bluetooth
®
Keyboard will automatically go into standby mode after 15 minutes of non-use in order to preserve battery life. Press Power button to reactivate the Keyboard.
CARE AND MAINTENANCE
Ensure you turn off the keyboard when you have finished using your Bluetooth Keyboard. This should preserve battery life.
Do not allow any heavy objects to be placed on the Keyboard, as this may cause damage to the keyboard.
The screen is made of glass. Please avoid dropping, strong impact and severe vibration.
Wipe the exterior of the Bluetooth Keyboard with a soft, dry cloth.
Always fully charge the Bluetooth Keyboard prior to long periods of storage. Do
not store in extreme cold or hot temperatures and out of direct sunlight.

1. In Mac system
Note: The keyboard of the default system is Mac, you can use directly according to the instructions below. If you are in the Windows system mode, press the "FN" + “ ” to return to the Mac system mode reuse.

Press“ ” Key to enter the Touchpad mode, and you will see the "Caps" LED always blinking.
1. Move finger consistently across the keyboard, as a pointer.
2. Click on Right mouse with two fingers, use fingers scroll up or down as mouse.

3. Use two fingers to view photos or drawing move left or right to change photos.
4. Use two fingers to zoom in or out.
5. Use three fingers to select function.
6. Four fingers move right or left for switch the task. (the system default shortcut is “control”+ “”or “”)

Note: In Mac OSX systerm To use the gesture function (Launchpad) correctly we need to set up shortcuts in system settings(1.System preference --> Keyboard-->Keyboard-->choose “Use all F1, F2, etc. keys as standard functions keys” 2. System preference-->Keyboard--> Shortcuts-->Launchpad&Dock-->choose “Show Launchpad” set to “Control+L”)

The keyboard will not work with Apple/Windows Device
Make sure that the keyboard is synced correctly. Power the keyboard off and try again.
If the Apple/Windows Device has been upgraded, or you are using a different Apple/ Windows Device, resync using the steps on the previous pages.
Check the battery power. You may need to recharge the Keyboard.
