WARNING
• Examine brush before each use. Discontinue use if bristels are loose, damaged, missing, or show excessive wear. Carefully examine cooking surface for loose bristles before cooking.
• Close supervision is necessary when each unit of this set is used by or near children or mentally disabled individuals. Adult supervision is required.
• Use this unit only for its intended use as described in this manual.
• The digital fork is not intended for use as an oven thermometer or grill surface thermometer. The thermometer is designed to measure internal meat temperature and has an operational range between 32°F to 266°F(0°C to 130°C). Exposing the probe tip to temperatures above 266°F (130°C) could cause damage to the temperature sensor.
• This set of tools has sharp blades and sharp tips. Use with caution.
• Stainless steel meat probe will become extremely hot during use. Remove probe from meat and allow to cool.
BATTE RY PRECAUTIONS
• Dispose of used batteries properly. Do not dispose of batteries in a fire.
• Do not leave the batteries where a child or pet could play with or swallow them. If the batteries are swallowed, contact a physician immediately.
• The batteries may explode if mistreated. Do not attempt to recharge or disas­semble the batteries.
• Use only fresh batteries of the required size and type. Do not mix old and new bat­teries, different types of batteries, or rechargeable batteries of different capacities.

INSTALLING THE BATTERY IN THE FOR K
1. Remove the battery compartment cover from the back of the fork handle by pressing the tab at the bottom of the battery compartment cover.
2. Insert 2 AAA 1.5V batteries (included), following the polarity indicators.
3. Replace the battery compartment cover.

USING THE THERMOM ETER
1. Locate the switch on the back of the fork handle and slide it to the THERMO position.
2. Press any button to turn on the digital display.
3. Press the °C/°F button to select Celsius or Fahrenheit temperature readings.
4. Press the UP or DOWN arrow to set the target temperature. Refer to the chart on Page 5 for temperature guidelines.
5. To test the temperature, remove the protective covering from the fork probe tips and insert the fork probe tips into the thickest part of the meat. Avoid touching bone or heavy fat areas. Wait a few seconds and view the meat temperature.
6. Repeat temperature readings periodically until the target temperature is reached. For accurate temperature readings, make sure the probe tips do not protrude through the meat.
7. An alarm sounds when the target temperature is reached. Shut off is automatic.

USING THE TIMER
1. Locate the switch on back of the fork handle and move to TIMER position.
2. To set a countdown time press the “M” (for minutes) and/or “S” (for seconds) button(s).
3. Press the START/STOP button to begin countdown.
4. If no countdown time is set, press the START/STOP to count up.
5. To clear the timer, press the START/STOP button to pause countdown, then press both the “M” and “S” button(s). at the same time to reset to zero.
6. Once a countdown has finished, the unit will beep.
7. To stop the alarm, press the START/STOP button again or move the switch on the back of the fork handle to the “THERMO” position.
NOTE: The timer will count up or down from 99:59.
USING THE LED LIGHT
Locate the ON/OFF switch on the side of the fork. Slide down to turn the light ON and slide up to turn the light OFF.
CARE AND MAI NTENANCE
• Not all parts of this set are diswasher safe. Hand wash tools and fork probes using only mild soap and hot water. Rinse thoroughly. Dry completely with a soft cloth. DO NOT splash or submerge LCD in water.
• Avoid long-term contact with corrosives.
• Do not use metallic brushes or sponges to clean.
• Examine the brush bristels after use. Discontinue use if bristels are loose, damaged, missing, or show excessive wear.

ONE (1) YEAR LIMITED WARRANTY
Brookstone® warrants this product against defects in materials and/or workmanship under normal use for a period of ONE (1) YEAR from the date of purchase by the original purchaser (“Warranty Period”). If a defect arises and a valid claim is received within the Warranty Period, at its option, Brookstone will either 1) repair the defect at no charge, using new or refurbished replacement parts, or 2) replace the product with a new product that is at least functionally equivalent to the original product, or
3) provide a store credit in the amount of the purchase price of the original product. A replacement product or part, including a user-installable part installed in accordance with instructions provided by Brookstone, assumes the remaining warranty of the original product. When a product or part is exchanged, any replacement item becomes your property and the replaced item becomes Brookstone’s property. When a store credit is given, the original product must be returned to Brookstone and becomes Brookstone’s property.
Obtaining Service: To obtain warranty service, call Brookstone Limited Warranty Service at 1-800-292-9819. Please be prepared to describe the product that needs service and the nature of the problem. A purchase receipt is required. All repairs and replacements must be authorized in advance. Service options, parts availability and response times will vary. You are responsible for delivery and the cost of delivery of the product or any parts to the authorized service center for replacement, per our instructions.
Limits and Exclusions: Coverage under this Limited Warranty is limited to the United States of America, including the District of Columbia and the U.S. Territories of Guam, Puerto Rico, and the U.S. Virgin Islands. This Limited Warranty applies only to products manufactured for Brookstone that can be identified by the “Brookstone” trademark, trade name, or logo affixed to them or their packaging. The Limited Warranty does not apply to any non-Brookstone products. Manufacturers or
suppliers other than Brookstone may provide their own warranties to the purchaser, but Brookstone, in so far as permitted by law, provides these products “as is.” This warranty does not apply to: a) damage caused by failure to follow instructions relating to product’s use or the installation of components; b) damage caused by accident, abuse, misuse, fire, floods, earthquake or other external causes; c) damage caused by service performed by anyone who is not a representative of Brookstone; d) accessories used in conjunction with a covered product; e) a product or part that has been modified to alter functionality or capability; f) items intended to be periodically replaced by the purchaser during the normal life of the product including, without limitation, batteries or light bulbs; g) any product sold “as is” including, without limitation, floor demonstration models and refurbished items; or h) a product that is used commercially or for a commercial purpose.
