MAINTENANCE AND

REPLACEMENT
A. Shut off th e hot and cold water supplies
B. Loosen the socket screw at the back or un derside of the
handle with a 2mm Allen key and pull of f lever han dle
C. Remove the metal cover cap below the lever handle
D. Remove the Hex Locknut be low cover ca p
E. Pull out the car tridge a nd base ‘O’ Ring S eal
F. Replace wi th a genuine Brodware cartrid ge.
Care must be taken to ensure that the lower
‘O’ Ring Seal is located in th e cartr idge correctly.

When installing the mixer, ensure that it is positioned correctly, with the mixer o n the top side and the diver ter on the bottom side.
Hot water is connected to the left, and the cold water is connected to the right, when viewed from the operating position.
When the diverter handle is rotated fully clock wise, water is diver ted to the bottom p ort.
Anti-clockwis e rotation of the handle diverts wate r to the top port.

to length before fitti ng wall plate.
F. Tile or finish wall face.

Plate to fit bac k to the shoulder of the nipple.
Yokato 1.9305.05.
The nipple screws in from the front. Sc rew in till it bottoms ou t on the plate.
H. When fitting off lock handle
and spout screws with allen key supplied.
To be read in conjunction with information on reverse.
Using
copper tubes supplied, rough in supply lines. Use the template supplied to ensure the correct spacing of tubes.
The tubes are to be clean and smooth with no external damage, with the top of the tubes clean cut and no extern al burrs. Ensure protection of tubes during building works.
The structure is to be suf ficient to securel y anchor the mixer and tubes.
When fitting off drill flo or for fixing s, ensure wate r lines are flushed to remove foreign particles. Push on flexible connectors to supply tubes.
Supply tu bes to be 25-30 mm above finished flo or.
Water test before fixing d own. Remote isolating valve s must
be fitted to enable ea se of service if required.
If the floo r is not level, the adjustment screws in the floor mount can be adjusted to ensure the mixer is ver tical.
Screw down dress flange.
These in struct ions are t o be read in conjunction with the basic installation card.
1. Using

A. Remove the handle and trim and push protecti ve sleeve over
the body to protect from damage during tiling.
B. Install mixer to correct depth as sh own in the draw ing.
It is most important that the finished wall location is determined.

When i nstalling the mixer ensure that it i s positioned the
correct way (as per the markings on the body) with the hot water on the left and cold water on the ri ght when viewed from an operating position.
Connect mixer using union connections (not nylon olives).
Ensure mixer is level and aligned c orrectly.
C. Because of the speed at wh ich singl e lever mixers can be
closed, th ey can acce ntuate water ha mmer if not properly installed. Before sheeting walls it is impor tant that the system is checked for this.
If hammer is apparent, all pos sible measures are to be taken,
includi ng but not lim ited to, correc t and secure fixing of pipework, keeping th e length of the pipework o n the outlet as short a s possibl e and the fit ting of outl ets that have a hi gh star rating
D. Check ope ration and te st for leaks before plastering or tiling
and refit tiling sleeve. Seal around bodies to prevent water penetration into wall
E. On completion of tiling rem ove tiling sleeve and fit dress ring.
Fit handle and secure with grub s crew
