WARNING - DO NOT use the Elite on a passenger seat fitted with a front
airbag, unless your vehicle manufacturer confirms it is safe.
DO NOT use the Elite on side facing vehicle seats.
DO NOT use the Elite in the home. It has not been designed for home use and should only be
used in your car.
DO NOT use anything, such as a cushion or coat, to raise the Elite off the passenger seat. In an
accident the Elite and your car seat-belts would not be able to protect your child as well as they should.
DO NOT attempt to dismantle, modify or add to any part of the Elite or change the way your
car seat-belts are made or used.
DO cover the Elite if your car is left in direct sunlight. Metal and plastic fittings can become hot
to touch in sunny weather and the cover may become faded.
DO keep this User Guide in the pocket on the back of the Elite (under the cover).
No child seat is escape proof
Harness systems cannot be designed to be completely “child proof” and yet comply with the legal requirements of European Standard ECE R44. The harness must be fastened and adjusted correctly at all times and children encouraged to remain within the harness system.

For your child’s comfort the Elite has a choice of two positions. Upright, where the base is left underneath the seat and reclined, where the base is swung back.
REMEMBER
For a secure installation, your Elite MUST be touching the back of your passenger seat. If this is not possible then try an alternative seating position. You must choose the position of your Elite before installing it in your car as the base cannot be moved once a seat-belt is holding your car seat in place. After changing the position of the base always make sure that the seat-belt is properly tightened and secure.

Using the Elite
IMPORTANT – Use the Elite with the integral harness for a child weighing
from 9kg to 25kg.
IMPORTANT The Elite must only be installed using a lap and diagonal seat-
belt (approved to UN/ECE Regulation number 16 or equivalent standards).
Preparing to install the Elite in the car
IMPORTANT - You must adjust the shoulder straps of the harness to the
correct position for your child BEFORE installing the Elite as they cannot be adjusted once installed in the car.
Place the Elite on the floor supporting the back against a wall. With one hand push the adjuster button down, and with your other hand below the chest pads, pull both shoulder straps forward together as far as possible to loosen the harness.
1
Unfasten the harness by pressing the red harness buckle button. Lay the shoulder straps over the sides of the seat as shown to avoid the harness twisting.
2
Place your child in the Elite and fit the harness loosely around them. Refasten the harness buckle by fitting the two tongues together and pushing them firmly into the buckle until you hear a ‘click’
IMPORTANT - If you do not
hear a ‘click’, please refer to page 15, ‘Removing and cleaning the harness buckle’.

Place your child in the seat and buckle up the harness. The shoulder straps MUST be threaded through the slots in the cover and shell nearest the top of your child’s shoulders. If in any doubt always use the slot above the shoulder rather than below it.
