BRITA Guarantee/ Trouble shooting
Cause
• Slider (11a) not snapped into place
properly
• Cartridge not functioning
• No power
• Fuse tripped
• No water added ➞ boil dry safety
protection is activated
• Steam shut off or boil dry safety protection
is still activated
• Funnel guide not used
• Steam forming at automatic shut off
• Cartridge not changed at recommended
intervals (approx. every 4 weeks = 100 lit.)
• In areas with very hard water the filter cartridge becomes exhausted more quickly
• Increased iron or manganese levels in tap
water, due to domestic installation
• Boil dry safety protection is activated,
causing high levels of heat to be briefly
applied to heating element
• Maximum filling level 1.5 l exceeded
• Funnel not inserted before boiling

Trouble shooting
Solution
• Push slider (11a) completely down
• Remove cartridge, put under water, shaking
slightly (see First Use)
• Only use original BRITA cartridge
• Insert power plug, place jug on base and
check power supply, press start button (11b)
• Check other high-power appliances connected
to the same circuit and switch off if necessary.
• Acclario Select/3000 watt model: use a 16 A
fuse to protect the circuit
• Add min. boiling volume of 0.3 litres
• Allow appliance to cool down or add cold water
• Check and correct positioning of funnel
• Not required: is a normal function of the
appliance
• Change cartridge, only use original BRITA
cartridge
• Shorten intervals for changing cartridge
(e.g. from 4 weeks to 3 weeks)
• Clean with mild detergent and damp cloth
• No impairment in functioning.
Clean with mild scouring agent (standard stainless steel cleaner). Important: scouring agent
must not come into contact with plastic jug.
• Wipe the work surface, appliance connection
and kettle, correct filling level, if necessary start
boiling procedure again
• Insert funnel

• We offer a 2-year guarantee for your BRITA
Acclario. The guarantee covers all proven material
or manufacturing defects and faults in function
that are not the result of incorrect or improper
use. Proper use also includes the exclusive usage
of original BRITA filter cartridges. The guarantee
period shall start on the date of purchase.
• The guarantee is not valid if the appliance is
damaged, has not been used properly or
unauthorised interventions have been made. The
guarantee does not cover damage to fragile parts
or wearing parts.
• Please contact BRITA CARE for further
information regarding repair or spare parts for
your product, who will be happy to help you
further. Inexpertly carried out repairs can be
dangerous and result in making
the product guarantee invalid.
• Our guarantee is not valid for kettles that are not
working or work badly due to incorrect usage of
the filter cartridge.
• This guarantee does not affect your statutory
rights.
