our family. In this manual we’re going to go over everything you need to get started with your
new camera!
Overview:

Important Battery Information:
-Only use Lithium Or Alkaline batteries. Energizer ultimate lithium are prefered.
-Never mix old and new batteries and always replace all 8 batteries at the same time.
-When the camera is not in use, it is important to remove the batteries.

SAR limit of USA (FCC) is 1.6 W/kg averaged. Device types: The Exodus Render 4G (FCC ID:
2APP9-RENDER4G) has also been tested against this SAR limit. SAR information on this and
other pad can be viewed online at http://www.fcc.gov/oet/ea/fccid/. Please use the device
FCC ID number for search. This device was tested simulation typical 5mm to body.
WARRANTY INFORMATION:
One of the things that we are so proud of at Exodus is our 5 year fully covered manufacturer’s
warranty. Basically, if your camera fails under normal use in the first 5 years, we will replace it
absolutely free of charge. On top of that, if it is stolen or accidentally damaged within the first 5
years, we will give you a new camera (one per purchase) at 50% off the retail price.
To make a warranty claim:
1. Contact us via our customer support number OR email info@exodusoutdoorgear.com
2. We’ll send you a return shipping box.
3. Once we receive the camera and verify the problem is covered, we’ll ship you a new one.
Your camera must be registered via the card provided in the box within the first 30 days of
purchase for the warranty to be valid
WARRANTY EXCLUSIONS
Warranty Void Conditions – Our warranty does not cover any failures or defects cause d by but
not limited to one or more of the following: incorrect installations, abuse, alterations or
modifications not performed by Exodus Outdoor Gear, poor handling, misuse, accidents,
abnormal use, shock, power failures/surges, lightning or weather related conditio ns. Warranty
does not apply to any product or part thereof where the original serial number ha s been altered,
modified, defaced or removed. Warranty does not cover damage or loss as a result of
transportation of the products. However, all of this is covered by our 5-yr theft / damage policy.

9 A Quick Set-Up Guide
1. Open the camera door and press the battery tray release button in the bottom right hand
corner. Install 8 AA batteries (Lithium Recommended). Re-insert the battery tray until you hea r
it “click” into place.
2. Insert SD card until you hear a slight click as it locks into place.
3. Turn the camera power switch to the “Setup” position. Press the Menu button. Hit the up
directional key 3 times to the “format” option. Hit the OK button. Select “Yes” and hit the OK
button again. Turn the camera off.
4. Pick a location and mount the camera via the included strap or a 3rd party mounting system.
We recommend setting the camera up within 20’ of where you think the target will be. (For
some of our ideas on camera setup locations, strategy, and method, visit our site)
5. To aim the camera, switch it to the “Setup” position again. Walk through the target area and
the red indicator light will blink when you are detected. You can also hit the “OK” button to take
a test photo, then hit the “Up” directional key to review.
6. When you are happy with the setup, slide the camera to the “On” position. The camera will
start a 30 second count
Button Functionality
On/Off/Setup Togge Switch:
-On sets the camera into the startup countdown.
-Off shuts the camera down.
-Setup turns the camera into setup/aim mode. This is where you access the menu.
Menu - Opens the camera menu.
Directional keys – Used for navigating the menu. The “Up” directional key is also the “Playback”
button for reviewing pictures in test mode.
OK – Used as a selection or “enter” key in menu. Also used to take a test photo in test mode.
Eject – Removes the battery tray.

RETRIEVING AND VIEWING IMAGES:
Removing the SD Card: The simplest option for viewing images is to simply remove the SD
card from the camera. IT IS IMPORTANT TO NOTE THAT YOU MUST TURN THE CAMERA OFF BEFORE REMOVING THE CARD. Once you remove the card you can insert it into an
SD card reader on a laptop, tablet, or field viewer and download the pictures.
USB Download: You can plug the camera into your computer via USB cable provided and
download the pictures directly from the camera.
In-Camera Playback: Another quick review option is to simply scroll through the image s on the
camera’s viewfinder. Simply turn the camera power toggle into the “Setup” position, then hit
the “Up” directional key. When the images load you can use the left and right directional keys
to scroll through the photos.
EXTERNAL POWER SUPPLY:
External Battery: The camera is compatible with an external 12 volt 1 amp battery. It is
important to only use a battery of these specifications with the camera, or you can risk
damaging the internal components.

FREQUENCY: Set the camera to 50hz or 60hz recording frequency.
CAMERA NAME: Chose a name for your camera between 1-11 letters or numbers. This will
be included in the info strip at the bottom of each photo.
PASSWORD ENABLE: You can setup a 5 digit passcode that will be recquired every time that
you get back into your camera. You can select on or off, when you select on you will be
required to enter the desired code.
LONGITUDE/LATTITUDE: In this option, you can enter the coordinates of your camera and it
will enable GPS geotagging of your photos.
LANGUAGE: Setup the default language of your camera.
FORMAT: Formatting is recommended everytime that you insert a new SD card into the
camera. It gets the card setup for use inside the camera, however it will erase any images
already stored on the card.
DEFAULT SET: Selecting “yes” will reset the camera back to the factory default settings.
VERSION: In this menu you can view the current firmware version and update the firmware.
This section will typically only be used when calling in for technical support.

THE LIFT MENU
To get to the menu, turn the power switch right to the “Setup” position. After the camera starts,
hit the “Menu” button in the top right hand side.
Settings Overview
MODE: Mode is the way you want the basic functionality you want the camera to set to. There
are four options to chose from.
PHOTO: In photo mode, the camera captures still images when it is activated by motion/heat.
VIDEO: In video mode, the camera captures videos when it is activated by motion/heat.
TIME LAPSE: In time lapse mode the camera will take a series of photos at a specified interval
throughout the day.
HYBRID MODE: Hybrid utilizes time lapse mode during the day and photo motion detection
mode at night.
SET CLOCK: In this menu option, you can set the camera’s internal clock. This is important as
it will be included on the info stamp at the bottom of every photo. It is entered in the format of
month/day/year and hours/minutes. Time is in the military format 024 hours.
IMAGE SIZE: The image size section allows you to set the resolution of the photos the camera
takes. You can chose from 3M, 5M, 8M, and 12M. The M stands for MegaPixels.
PICTURE NUMBER: This is the photo burst selection. You can set the camera to take
between 1 and 9 photos per trigger.
VIDEO SIZE: Choose the size of the videos you want the camera to take in video mode. There
are two options, 1280X720 30FPS or 1920X1080 30FPS.

VIDEO LENGTH: Choose the length of the videos you want the camera to take in video mode.
You can pick any option between 5 and 90 seconds.
CAMERA INFO: shows IMEI, model, sim card ID, registration code
WIRELESS NETWORK: Turn ON or OFF the wireless function
UPLOAD INTERVAL: Time between each upload.
PIR INTERVAL: This option allows you to set the delay between triggers. You can customize
the delay anywhere from 0 seconds to 1 hour.
TIME LAPSE: In this option you can setup the interval between photos that you want the
camera to take in time lapse mode.
OPERATING HOURS: Set the operating hours of the camera in this section. As default the
camera comes setup 00 00 to 23 59. This means the came ra is running at all times of the day.
The first 4 numbers are the time the camera will start and the second set of 4 numbers is the
time the camera will turn off.
TIME STAMP: This is the info strip at the bottom of each photo. In this section you can either
turn the strip on or off.
