USER’S GUIDE
GENERAL USE
This cart is designed to allow you to easily store, secure, recharge and transport netbook computers and peripherals between classrooms. Please read this User’s Guide carefully. It contains important advice concerning the use, and safety of your Bretford NETBOOK32 Cart. Keep this User’s Guide in a safe place and pass it on to any subsequent user. This cart must only be used for its intended purpose in accordance with this User’s Guide.
This cart is not designed to be operated by a child or student.
Adult operation and supervision is recommended at all times.
Although this cart is designed to support the transport of equipment within a school campus, it is not designed for outdoor use.
Liquids should not be stored in, set on or placed inside this unit.
Turn power switch to the off position before plugging in or unplugging the electrical units.
Do not unplug this product from the outlet when your hands are wet.
Do not move the cart by pulling the power cord.
Do not plug the unit in if the switch, receptacle(s) or power cord has been damaged.
Contact Bretford or a qualified electrician before attempting to make any type of electrical repair or parts replacement.
SAFETY
Before moving this cart from one room to the next, wrap the power cords around the cord winders located on the sides of the cart – one power cord from the Timer, the other power cord from the 4-outlet Auxiliary Power Strip inside the cart.
Always plug the Auxiliary Power Strip into its own circuit and the Timer into its own circuit.
Do not pull cart. Always push the cart using the ergonomic handles.
Engage locking casters when cart is not in transit.
Use extra caution on ramps and thresholds.

Power
All electrical components are UL listed and/or UL recognized Two sources of Power:
First Source – the Timer System
Includes two 16-outlet electrical units for charging laptops
Each electrical unit is mounted inside the rear of the cart, outlets facing forward.
An on/off switch can be found on each electrical unit
An Automatic Timer/Charger allows both electrical units to be charged using one electrical circuit
Electrical units are plugged directly into the Timer/Charger
Timer/Charger switches the electrical current from one charging unit to the other
Timer is resettable and ships standard with a four hour charging period per electrical unit - eight hour charging time for all laptops
Second Source – The Auxiliary Power Strip
A four-outlet power unit is mounted inside the cart to provide auxiliary power for accessory equipment. Must be plugged into its own electrical circuit to avoid tripping circuits.

Construction
Entire unit is constructed of 10-, 14-, 16 and 18-gauge steel
Finish is an environmentally-safe Anthracite Power Paint that resists scratching and chipping
Ventilation holes are found on the doors, sides and back panels so units stay cool while charging
Cart rolls on four 5" swivel stem casters
Security
Features a 14-gauge locking point and two 40mm resettable combination locks for securing both the front doors of the cart and he rear-access back panel.
