Gerät niemals direkt in die Sonne oder in die Nähe der

• ERSTICKUNGSGEFAHR! Kinder sollten das Gerät
nur unter Aufsicht benutzen. Verpackungsmaterialien
(Plastiktüten, Gummibänder, etc.) von Kindern
fernhalten! Es besteht ERSTICKUNGSGEFAHR!

Durch die Lichtbündelung könnten Brände verursacht

Brillenträger Augenmuscheln

Abhängig vom jeweiligen Modell ist Ihr Fernglas
entweder mit Twist-Up-Augenmuscheln oder Gummi­augenmuscheln ausgestattet. Da bei Brillenträgern
grundsätzlich ein größerer Abstand zwischen dem Okular
des Fernglases und der Pupille gegeben ist, können
beide Augenmuschel-Typen individuell eingestellt werden
(Fig. 5).

Twist-Up-Augenmuscheln (Fig. 5a)
Wenn Sie mit einer Brille durch das Fernglas schauen, drehen
Sie die Twist-Up-Augenmuscheln ein. Tragen Sie hingegen keine
Brille, drehen Sie die Augenmuscheln heraus, um den notwendi­gen Pupillenabstand zu erreichen.

Gummiaugenmuscheln (Fig. 5b)
Wenn Sie mit einer Brille durch das Fernglas schauen, stülpen
Sie die Gummiaugenmuscheln seitlich nach unten um. Tragen
Sie hingegen keine Brille, belassen Sie die Augenmuscheln in
der aufrechten Position, um den notwendigen Pupillenabstand
zu erreichen.

Einstellen des Augenabstandes

Der Abstand der Augen ist von Person zu Person ver­schieden. Um ein perfektes Zusammenspiel zwischen
Ihren Augen und dem Okular des Fernglases zu errei­chen, sollten Sie das Fernglas so um die Mittelachse

einknicken (Fig. 1), dass Sie beim Durchblicken einen
Bildkreis sehen (Fig. 2). Bitte merken Sie sich die Ein­stellung für die spätere Benutzung.

Die Scharfeinstellung

Blicken Sie durch das Fernglas und schließen Sie das
rechte Auge. Stellen Sie nun das Bild für das linke Auge
am Mitteltrieb (1) scharf ein (Fig. 3). Schließen Sie das
linke Auge, und stellen Sie das Bild für das rechte Auge
am Dioptriering (5) scharf ein.

Zoom-Funktion

Sie können mit dem Zoomhebel (6) verschiedene
Vergrößerungsstufen – in der Regel stufenlos ­einstellen. Bewegen Sie dazu den Hebel einfach vor
oder zurück. Beachten Sie: Bei einer Veränderung der
Vergrößerungseinstellung muss die Bildschärfe mit Hilfe
des Mitteltriebes (1) neu eingestellt werden.

Porro/Roof:

Fernglas auf ein Stativ montieren

Wenn Ihr Fernglas mit einem Stativanschlussgewinde (Fig. 6)
ausgestattet ist: Der dazu erforderliche Stativadapter ist als
optionales Zubehör im Handel erhältlich (Art.-Nr. 19-16000
oder 19-16500). Damit können Sie Ihr Fernglas auf ein
Stativ mit DIN-Anschlussgewinde (z.B. Art.-Nr. 49-22500)
montieren.

HINWEISE ZUR REINIGUNG

DE

• Reinigen Sie die Linsen (Okulare und/oder Objektive)
nur mit einem weichen und fusselfreien Tuch (z. B.
Microfaser). Das Tuch nicht zu stark aufdrücken, um
ein Verkratzen der Linsen zu vermeiden.

• Zur Entfernung stärkerer Schmutz-reste befeuchten Sie
das Putztuch mit einer Brillen-Reinigungsflüssigkeit und
wischen damit die Linsen mit wenig Druck ab.

• Schützen Sie das Gerät vor Staub und Feuchtigkeit!
Lassen Sie es nach der
Benutzung – speziell bei hoher Luftfeuchtigkeit – bei
Zimmertemperatur einige Zeit akklimatisieren, so dass
die Restfeuchtigkeit abgebaut werden kann.

ENTSORGUNG

• Entsorgen Sie die Verpackungsmaterialien sortenrein.
Informationen zur ordnungsgemäßen Entsorgung er­halten Sie beim kommunalen Entsorgungsdienstleister
oder Umweltamt.

• The device is intended only for private use. Please

device to look into apartments, for example.

Eyepieces for spectacle wearers

Depending on the model, your binoculars are equipped
with either twist-up eyecups or rubber eyecups. Since
there is a larger distance between the binocular
eyepiece and the pupil for those wearing glasses, both
eyecup varieties can be adjusted individually (Fig. 5).

Twist-up Eyecups (Fig. 5a)
Screw in the twist-up eyecups (2a) to use the binoculars while
wearing glasses. If you are not wearing glasses, unscrew the eye­cups to achieve the required distance from the pupils.

Rubber Eyecups (Fig. 5b)
To use the binoculars while wearing glasses, turn the rubber
eyecups (2b) towards the sides and down. If you are not wearing
glasses, leave the eyecups in the upright position to achieve the
required distance from the pupils.

Adjusting the eyepiece distance

The distance between the eyes differs between
individuals. To achieve perfect interaction between your
eyes and the eyepieces of your binoculars set the angle
at the centre of the binoculars (Fig. 1) so that you see a
circular image (Fig. 2). Note this setting for later use.

Adjusting the focus

Look through your binoculars with your right eye closed.
Now adjust the image for your left eye using the centre

wheel (1) until it is sharp and clear (Fig. 3). Close your
left eye and adjust the image for your right eye using the
dioptre ring (5) until it too is sharp and clear.

Using the Zoom Function

You can use the zoom lever (6) to select various levels of
magnification; in general, the zoom is continuous. Simply
move the lever back or forth to zoom.
Please note: When changing the magnification setting, it
is necessary to re-adjust the image sharpness using the
centre focussing wheel (1).

Porro/Roof:

Mounting the binoculars on a tripod

If your binoculars have a threaded tripod connection
(Fig. 6) built in: The required tripod adapter is available in
stores as an optional accessory (Art. No. 19-16000 or
19-16500). With this accessory, you are able to mount
your binoculars on a tripod with a DIN mounting thread
(e.g. Art. No. 49-22500).

NOTES ON CLEANING

• Clean the eyepieces and lenses only with a soft, lint­free cloth like a microfibre cloth. To avoid scratching
the lenses, use only gentle pressure with the cleaning
cloth.

• To remove more stubborn dirt, moisten the cleaning
cloth with an eyeglass-cleaning solution and wipe the
lenses gently.

• Protect the device from dust and moisture.

After use, particularly in high humidity, let the device

acclimatize for a short period of time, so that the
residual moisture can dissipate before storing.

DISPOSAL

• Dispose of the packaging materials properly, according
to their type, such as paper or cardboard. Contact your
local waste-disposal service or environmental authority
for information on the proper disposal.
