1. Introduction
These operating instructions must be carefully read in full. They are an integral part of your newly purchased product and contain important information for its operation and useAlways observe all the safety instructions when using this product. The Jet Light FL-18-110 is suitable for standing upright, hanging and laying flat and can be used as a portable light indoors and outside. If you have any questions about using the Jet Light FL-18-110, please contact your dealer or our customer service department. The operating instructions should be kept in a safe place and be passed on to third parties, if necessary.

3. Safety instructions
IMPORTANT:
Please note the following information in order to avoid injury or damage. Operating environment:The Jet Light FL-18-110 is protected against damp and splashes. Please note, however, that the device is not waterproof.
DANGER:Non-observance of safety instructions can result in danger to life by electric current.
The guarantee shall be rendered invalid for damage which occurs as a result of not complying with these operating instructions, especially the usage and safety instructions. Likewise, the manufacturer shall not be liable for any consequential damage or loss.
- If defects are detected, do not use the Jet Light FL-18-110.
- Never open the Jet Light FL-18-110 except to replace the light bulbs.Such interventions can
result in risk of death by electric shock.
- Unauthorised remodelling, manipulation and/or altering the Jet Light FL-18-110 is not permitted on safety grounds.
- Never look directly at the light.
- Do not use the Jet Light FL-18-110 in environments where there is a risk of explosion in
which there are flammable liquids, gases or dust.
- Regularly check the Jet Light FL-18-110 for damage.
- Disconnect the Jet-Light FL18-110 from the power supply when changing the tubular lamps.
Pull the plug out of the socket.
- Repairs must be carried out by authorised technicians only.
- Allow the Jet-Light FL-18-110 to cool down before touching it (e.g. when wishing to change
the light bulb).
- Ensure that there is a distance of at least 50 cm on all sides from flammable materials.
- A damaged supply line must be exchanged by customer services or by an authorised
technician only.

6. Operation and assembly
Please note the following information, particularly the safety information, in order to avoid operating errors and possible defects.
7. Using for the first time
Assemble the Jet Light as shown in the diagram:
IMPORTANT:Check all the screw connections before using for the first time.
8. Changing the tubular lamps and the starter
DANGER:
Remove the plug from the mains before opening the lamp! Allow the Jet-Light FL-18-110 to cool down before touching it (at least 15 minutes). Touching it while hot could cause burns.
Step Procedure (tubular lamps)

1 Unscrew the protective cover
2 Remove light bulb
Gently twist the starter to the left and pull out (bayonet fitting)

Insert new light bulbs applying light pressure until they lock into place
Insert the starter and lock into place by gently twisting to the right (bayonet fitting)

Replace protective cover Ensure that the seal between the housing and the protective cover is correct

9. Cleaning
Pull the plug out before cleaning.For safety reasons, clean the equipment with a dry or damp cloth. Do not use any acid cleaning agents or chemicals (solvents, petroleum spirits, etc.) or rough sponges. Never submerge the Jet Light FL-18-110 in water.
10. Disposal
At the end of its life-span, do not dispose of the product with the normal domestic refuse.Enquire about your local council’s policy for disposing of the device in a proper and environmentally-friendly way.
11. Trouble-shooting

IMPORTANT:
All other repairs must be carried out only by a technician.
12. Guarantee and service
This article is guaranteed for 2 years. Repairs must only be carried out by an authorised dealer.
Damage caused by improper operation, non-observance of the operating instructions are not included in the guarantee. Also excluded from the guarantee are wearing parts (e.g. light bulbs).
