Dieses Gerät ist mit
einem Spezialkabel mit
integriertem Netzteil
ausgestattet. Es dürfen
weder Teile ausgetauscht
noch Veränderungen
vorgenommen werden,
da sonst Stromschlagge­fahr besteht. Elektrische
Angaben: siehe Typen­schild auf dem Spezial­kabel. Das Spezialkabel
sorgt für eine automa­tische Spannungsanpas­sung zwischen 100 und
240 Volt.

Informationen zur Epilation

Bei allen Formen der Haarentfernung
an der Wurzel kann es zum Einwach­sen von Haaren oder zu Hautreizungen
(z.B. Brennen, Rötungen, Jucken)
kommen, abhängig auch von Ihrem
jeweiligen Haut- und Haartyp.
Das sind normale Reaktionen, die
auch rasch wieder abklingen. Sie
können jedoch stärker auftreten,
wenn Sie zum ersten Mal epilieren
oder wenn Sie empfindliche Haut
haben.

Falls diese Hautreaktionen nach
36 Stunden noch anhalten, sollten
Sie Ihren Arzt um Rat fragen. In aller
Regel nehmen die Hautreaktionen
und das Schmerzempfinden nach
mehrmaliger Anwendung deutlich
ab.

Es kann vorkommen, dass sich die
Haut durch das Eindringen von Bak­terien entzündet (z.B. wenn das Gerät
über die Haut gleitet). Eine gründliche
Reinigung des Epilierkopfes vor jeder
Anwendung reduziert weitestgehend
dieses Infektionsrisiko.

Falls Sie Zweifel haben, ob Sie dieses
Gerät benutzen sollen, fragen Sie bitte
Ihren Arzt. In folgenden Fällen sollten
Sie das Gerät nur nach ärztlichem
Rat anwenden:

– bei Ekzemen, Wunden,

entzündeten Hautreaktionen wie
Follikulitiden («Eiterknötchen») und

Krampfadern
– im Bereich von Muttermalen
– bei Schwächung der Abwehrkräfte

Ihrer Haut, die auftreten kann bei

Diabetes, Schwangerschaft, bei

Vorliegen des Raynaud Syndroms
– bei Blutern oder bei

Immunschwäche.
Es kann vorkommen, dass dünne

nachwachsende Härchen nicht an
die Hautoberfläche gelangen.
Die regelmäßige Verwendung eines
Massageschwammes (z.B. nach
dem Duschen) oder eines Körper­Peelings hilft, das Einwachsen von
Härchen zu verhindern. Damit wird
die obere Hautschicht entfernt und
feine Haare können an die
Oberfläche gelangen.

So epilieren Sie

• Ihre Haut muss trocken und fettfrei

sein.

• Vor dem Epilieren sollte der

Epilierkopf (1) gründlich gereinigt

werden.
a) Zum Einschalten, den Ein-/Aus-

Schalter (3) nach oben schieben.
b) Die Haut mit der freien Hand

straffen, so dass sich die Haare

aufstellen. Um eine optimale

Epilation zu gewährleisten, halten

Sie das Gerät senkrecht (90°) zur

Haut und führen Sie es ohne

Druck mit der Schalterseite gegen

den Haarwuchs.
c) Epilation der Beine

Epilieren Sie von unten nach oben.

Bei der Anwendung an den Knie-

kehlen muss das Bein immer

gestreckt sein.
d) Epilation von Achselbereich und

Bikini-Linie

Speziell für diese Anwendung

wurde die Unterarmkappe (6) als

zusätzlicher Aufsatz entwickelt, der

auf den Epilierkopf gesetzt wird.

Bitte beachten Sie, dass diese

Bereiche besonders schmerzemp-

findlich sind. Bei wiederholter An-

wendung wird das Schmerzempfin-

den nachlassen. Vor dem Epilieren

sollten Sie den entsprechenden

Bereich gründlich reinigen, um

Rückstände zu entfernen (z.B.

Deodorant), und dann mit einem

Handtuch trockentupfen. Bei der

Anwendung im Achselbereich

sollten Sie den Arm nach oben

strecken und das Gerät in ver-

schiedene Richtungen führen.

Reinigung (e)
Trennen Sie das Gerät nach Gebrauch
vom Netz und reinigen Sie den
Epilierkopf (1).
Für die Reinigung der Pinzettenwalze
empfehlen wir, das Bürstchen mit
Alkohol zu benetzen. Bürsten Sie die
Pinzettenwalze von hinten aus,
während Sie sie von Hand drehen
(e). Um den Epilierkopf abzunehmen,
die Entriegelungsknöpfe (2) rechts
und links drücken. Nach dem
Reinigen den Epilierkopf wieder
aufsetzen.

Änderungen vorbehalten.

Das Gerät darf am Ende seiner
Lebensdauer nicht mit dem
Hausmüll entsorgt werden.
Die Entsorgung kann über den
Braun Kundendienst oder lokal
verfügbare Rückgabe- und Sammel­stellen erfolgen.

Garantie

Als Hersteller übernehmen wir für
dieses Gerät – nach Wahl des
Käufers zusätzlich zu den gesetz­lichen Gewährleistungsansprüchen
gegen den Verkäufer – eine Garantie
von 2 Jahren ab Kaufdatum.

General information on epilation

All methods of hair removal at the
root can lead to in-growing hair and
irritation (e.g. itching, discomfort or
reddening of the skin), depending on
the condition of the skin and hair.
This is a normal reaction and should
quickly disappear, but may be
stronger when you are removing hair
at the root for the first few times or if
you have sensitive skin.

If, after 36 hours, the skin still shows
irritation, we recommend that you
contact your physician.
In general, the skin reaction and the
sensation of pain tend to diminish
considerably with the repeated use
of Silk·épil. In some cases inflam­mation of the skin could occur when
bacteria penetrate the skin (e.g.

when sliding the appliance over the
skin).
Thorough cleaning of the epilation
head before each use will minimize
the risk of infection.

If you have any doubts about using
this appliance, please consult your
physician. In the following cases, this
appliance should only be used after
prior consultation with a physician:
– eczema, wounds, inflamed skin

reactions such as folliculitis

(purulent hair follicles) and

varicose veins
– around moles
– reduced immunity of the skin,

e.g. diabetes mellitus, during

pregnancy, Raynaud’s disease
– haemophilia or immune deficiency.

Fine, re-growing hair might not grow
up to the skin surface. The regular
use of massage sponges (e.g. after
showering) or exfoliation peelings
help to prevent in-growing hair as
the gentle scrubbing action removes
the upper skin layer and fine hair can
get through to the skin surface.

How to epilate

• Your skin must be dry and free

from grease or cream.

• Before starting off, thoroughly

clean the epilation head (1).
a) To turn on the appliance, slide up

the on/off switch (3).
b) Rub your skin to lift short hairs.

For optimal performance, hold the

appliance at a right angle (90°)

against your skin and guide it

without pressure against the hair

growth, in the direction of the

switch.
c) Leg epilation

Epilate your legs from the lower

leg in an upward direction. When

epilating behind the knee, keep

the leg stretched out straight.
d) Underarm and bikini line

epilation
For this specific application, the

underarm cap (6) has been devel-

oped as an optional attachment to

be placed on the epilation head

(1).
Please be aware that especially

at the beginning these areas are

particularly sensitive to pain.

With repeated usage the pain

sensation will diminish.
Before epilating, thoroughly clean

the respective area to remove

residue (like deodorant). Then

carefully dab dry with a towel.
When epilating the underarm, keep

your arm raised up and guide the

appliance in different directions.

Cleaning (e)
After epilating, unplug the appliance
and clean the epilation head (1).
Thoroughly clean the tweezer
element using the cleaning brush
dipped into alcohol. While cleaning,
you can turn the tweezer element
manually.
To remove the epilation head, press
the release buttons (2) on the left and
right and pull it off. After cleaning,
place the epilation head back on the
housing.

life. Disposal can take place
at a Braun Service Centre or at
appropriate collection points

Informations générales sur
l’épilation

Toutes les méthodes d’épilation
à la racine peuvent entraîner des

Épilation

• Votre peau doit être sèche et débar-

rassée de toute huile ou crème.

• Avant de commencer, nettoyez

minutieusement la tête d’épilation

(1).
a) Pour démarrer l’appareil, pousser

l’interrupteur marche/arrêt vers le

haut (3).
b) Frottez votre peau afin de soulever

les poils courts. Pour un résultat

optimal, maintenez l’appareil à un

angle de 90° par rapport à votre

peau et déplacez-le, sans exercer

de pression, dans le sens inverse

de la pousse des poils, l’inter-

rupteur face à vous.
c) Épilation des jambes

Épilez vos jambes du bas vers le

haut. Lorsque vous vous épilez

derrière le genou, gardez votre

jambe bien tendue.
d) Épilation des aisselles et du

maillot

Pour cette utilisation particulière,

la tête d’épilation pour les ais-

selles (6) a été développée comme

un accessoire optionnel qui se

place sur la tête d’épilation (1).
Sachez que ces zones sont parti-

culièrement sensibles à la douleur,

lors des premières épilations.

Après différentes utilisations de

l’appareil, la sensation de douleur

diminuera.
Avant l’épilation, nettoyez bien la

zone à épiler afin d’éliminer tout

résidu (déodorant par exemple).

Ensuite, épongez délicatement

avec une serviette.
Pour l’épilation des aisselles,

gardez le bras levé et déplacez

l’appareil dans différentes

directions.

Nettoyage de la tête d’épilation (e)
Après l’épilation, débranchez l’ap­pareil et nettoyez la tête d’épilation (1).
Nettoyez minutieusement les pincet­tes à l’aide de la brosse de nettoyage
que vous aurez préalablement
