Braun Oral-B Denta-Pride has been carefully designed

to offer you and your family a new and unique brushing
experience that is both safe and effective. However, when
using electrical products, basic safety precautions should
always be followed. Please read carefully before use.

• Braun Oral-B Denta-Pride is provided with a SmartPlug
with integrated Safety Extra Low Voltage power supply.
Do not exchange or manipulate any part of it. Otherwise
there is the risk of electric shock. Periodically check the
SmartPlug for damage. A damaged or non-functioning
appliance shall no longer be used. Take it to a Braun
Oral-B Repair Centre.
• This product is not intended for use by children under age
three.
• If the product is dropped, the brush head should be
replaced before the next use even if no damage is visible.

A convenient travel case (deluxe model only) holds the Braun
Oral-B Denta-Pride handle and two Braun Oral-B brush

Braun Oral-B Denta-Pride has a waterproof handle, is
electrically safe and is designed for use in the bathroom.
To assemble the base station (h) as a charging unit, detach
the base plate (g) first (see diagram
, page 3). Place the

• Plug the SmartPlug into an electrical outlet and place the
toothbrush handle (d) on the charging unit. Alternatively,

handle directly into the charging ring while the SmartPlug is
plugged in.
• A battery symbol should appear in the SmartDisplay. The
Full Charge
battery symbol will fill up while the handle is being charged
and «Charging» will be displayed. When the handle is fully
charged, the SmartDisplay shows «Full Charge». A full
charge takes at least 12 hours and enables approximately
two weeks of regular brushing.
Please note: If the battery symbol is not displayed
immediately, continue charging. It will appear in 10 – 15
minutes.
• When the rechargeable battery is low, the bars of the
battery symbol will disappear and «Low» will be displayed.
Your toothbrush will slow down and then stop. It is time to
recharge Braun Oral-B Denta-Pride. When the battery is
fully discharged, «Empty» is displayed. It will then need a
15-minute charge before you can use it for a 2-minute
brushing (twice a day, 2 minutes).
• For everyday use, the toothbrush handle can be stored on
the charging unit to maintain it at full power. There is no
risk of overcharging the battery.
• To maintain the maximum capacity of the rechargeable
battery, unplug the charging unit and fully discharge the
handle by regular use at least every 6 months. Braun
Oral-B Denta-Pride is convenient for travelling because
you only need the compact SmartPlug charger and an
appropriate travel adapter for recharging in foreign
countries. For electric specifications, see printing on the
SmartPlug.

Before getting started, you can program your toothbrush so
that it meets your specific needs. Braun Oral-B Denta-Pride
has innovative Smart Technology that lets you choose the
language and the timer that works best for you.
Select your language
Braun Oral-B Denta-Pride comes with the English language
activated. If you wish to switch to another language, proceed
as follows: Press and hold the brushing mode button (c) until
«English» is displayed. By briefly pressing the on/off button (b)
you can scroll through 13 different languages. To confirm your
desired language, briefly press the brushing mode button
again. This will also lead you directly to the timer choice
menu.

The «2-Minute Timer» indicates by a long stuttering sound
when the dentist recommended 2-minute brushing time has
been reached. The «Professional Timer» helps you brush all
four quadrants of your mouth equally. It signals with a short
stuttering sound at 30-second intervals that it is time to move
to the next quadrant of your mouth, followed by a long
stuttering sound when you reach the recommended two
minute mark.
Braun Oral-B Denta-Pride comes with the «Professional
Timer» activated. If you wish to switch to the «2 Minute Timer»
after you have confirmed the language, simply press the
on/off button to change the setting. Then press the brushing
mode button to confirm your choice

Attach a Braun Oral-B brush head to the handle. You can use
any kind of toothpaste. To avoid splashing, guide the brush
head to your teeth before switching the appliance on.

Brushing technique
• Guide the brush head slowly from tooth to tooth.
• Hold the brush head in place for a few seconds before
moving on to the next tooth.
• Brush the gums as well as the teeth, first the outsides,
then the insides, finally the chewing surfaces.
• Do not press too hard or scrub, simply let the brush do all
the work.
To help you get optimum brushing results, Braun Oral-B
Denta-Pride has a pressure control feature to ensure that the
right degree of pressure is applied. This helps protect your
gums from excessive brushing and makes your toothbrush
easy to operate. If too much pressure is applied, the
oscillating movement of the brush head will continue but the
pulsation will stop. In addition to feeling the change, you can
also hear a different sound.

Brushing modes
Braun Oral-B Denta-Pride offers different brushing modes
for varying oral care needs:
«Clean» – Exceptional mouth cleaning.
«Soft» – Gentle, yet thorough cleaning for sensitive
areas.
«Massage» – Gentle stimulation of gums.
«Polish» – Exceptional polishing and natural whitening for
occasional or everyday use (deluxe model only).
How to switch between brushing modes:
• Braun Oral-B Denta-Pride automatically starts in the
«Clean» mode when pressing the on/off button.
• To shift from the «Clean» to the «Soft» mode, press the
brushing mode button once.
• If you wish to switch to the «Massage» mode, press the
brushing mode button again and let the brush head pulse
against your gum line.
• The «Polish» mode (deluxe model only) is best used with a
Professional White brush head. Once the Professional
White brush head is attached, press the on/off button and
your toothbrush automatically starts in the «Polish» mode
(please see «Brush heads»).
• To return from any mode to the «Clean» mode, press and
hold the brushing mode button.
• To turn your brush off, press the on/off button.
During brushing, the SmartDisplay shows the brushing mode
you have selected, followed by your actual brushing time.
When you finish brushing, the total brushing time will be
displayed for 30 seconds before the display switches back to
the battery charge level. To directly get to the battery charge
level display, you can clear the brushing time display by
pushing the brushing mode button. In the first few days of
using Braun Oral-B Denta-Pride, your gums may bleed
slightly. In general, bleeding should stop after a few days.
Should it persist after 2 weeks, please consult your dentist or
hygienist. If you have sensitive teeth and gums, Oral-B
recommends using the «Soft» mode.
Brush heads & accessories
The Braun Oral-B FlossAction and Professional White brush
heads contain a «smart chip» to communicate with the
electronics inside the Braun Oral-B Denta-Pride handle.
The «smart chip» works for you, automatically switching to
the appropriate brushing mode for the attached brush head.
Nevertheless, you can select other brushing modes to
customize your routine.

The Braun Oral-B FlossAction brush head is recommended
for everyday deep cleaning. It features Micropulse bristles that
get deep in hard-to-reach areas between your teeth, gently
removing plaque. The brush head’s outer bristles surround
each tooth, providing exceptional overall plaque removal.

The Braun Oral-B Professional White brush head is for
occasional or everyday polishing. It features a dentist-inspired
polishing cup to remove stains from coffee, tea and tobacco
for effective brightening.
We do not recommend using the Braun Oral-B Professional
White or Braun Oral-B FlossAction brush head with braces.
The Braun Oral-B Ortho brush head is specifically designed to
clean around braces and wires and can be used with the
Braun Oral-B Denta-Pride toothbrush.

placement brush heads
Dentists recommend that you change your brush head every
three months. As soon as your Braun Oral-B FlossAction
or Professional White brush head has surpassed the
recommended usage, the SmartDisplay shows «Replace
Brushhead». Replace with a new brush head to get optimum
brushing results. If you notice unusual wear before receiving
the «Replace Brush head» message, replace your brush head
immediately.

ongue Freshener
The Tongue Freshener helps freshen breath by removing
odor-causing bacteria from the tongue. It can be used
everyday – before or after brushing. You can use mouthwash
with the Tongue Freshener. Attach it to the handle, turn the
appliance on and drag it across the tongue back to front.
We recommend a low speed setting for enhancend control
during use. Rinse after use. Replace the Tongue Freshener
when materials become worn.

Braun Oral-B Denta-Pride replacement brush heads and
accessories are available in stores that sell Braun Oral-B
products.

• After brushing, rinse your brush head thoroughly under
running water.
• Remove the brush head from the handle and clean both
parts separately under running water. Then wipe them dry
before you put the handle on the charging unit.
• Before cleaning your charging unit, make sure you
disassemble it first. The charging ring and the SmartPlug
should never be placed in the dishwasher. However, all
other parts (base station, base plate and protective cover)
are dishwasher-safe.

• From time to time, you can also clean the charging ring and
the SmartPlug with a damp cloth. The SmartPlug charger
should never be placed in water.

This product is provided with a nickel-hydride battery, which
does not contain any harmful heavy metals. Nevertheless, in
the interest of protecting the environment, please do not
dispose of the product in the household waste at the end of
its useful life. Disposal can take place at a Braun Oral-B
Repair Centre or at approved recycling or disposing locations
in accordance with local regulations.
Battery removal at the end of the product’s useful life
Open the handle as shown, remove the battery and dispose of
it according to local environmental regulations.
Caution! Opening the handle will destroy the appliance and
invalidate the guarantee.

commencing on the date of purchase. Within the guarantee
period we will eliminate, free of charge, any defects in the
appliance resulting from faults in materials or workmanship,

This guarantee does not cover: damage due to improper use,
normal wear or use, especially regarding the brush heads, as
well as defects that have a negligible effect on the value or

repairs are undertaken by unauthorised persons and if original
Braun parts are not used.
To obtain service within the guarantee period, hand in or
send the complete appliance with your sales receipt to an
authorised Oral-B Braun Service Centre.
