Connecting and charging
Your toothbrush has a waterproof handle, is electrically safe and is
designed for use in the bathroom.
Plug the charging unit (E) into an electrical outlet and place the
•
toothbrush handle (C) on the charging unit.
The green charge indicator (D) light flashes while the handle is being
•
charged. If you then use your brush and place it back on the charging
unit, the green charging light will again flash to let you know it is
charging.
When the handle is fully charged, the green charge indicator light shines
•
continuously. A full charge takes at least 12 hours and enables
approximately one week of regular brushing (twice a day, 2 minutes).
The red charge indicator (D) light starts blinking when the rechargeable
•
battery is low. Now it is time to recharge your toothbrush.
For everyday use, the toothbrush handle can be stored on the charging
•
unit to maintain it at full power. Overcharging is impossible.
To maintain the maximum capacity of the rechargeable battery, unplug
•
the charging unit and fully discharge the handle by regular use at least
every 6 months.

Using the toothbrush
The toothbrush can be used with any kind of toothpaste.
To avoid splashing, guide the brush head to your teeth before switching
•
the appliance on.
Slowly guide the brush head from tooth to tooth, spending a few
•
seconds on each tooth surface.
Brush the gums as well as the teeth, first the outsides, then the insides
•
and finally the chewing surfaces (1).
Do not press too hard or scrub, simply let the brush do all the work.
•
To thoroughly remove plaque, brush for at least two minutes.
•
Professional Timer
A short stuttering sound at 30-second intervals, which you can hear and
feel, reminds you to brush the four quadrants of your mouth equally for a
thorough consistent clean. A long stuttering sound indicates when the
dentist recommended 2-minute brushing time has been reached.
The timer memorises the elapsed brushing time, even when the handle is
briefly switched off during brushing. Only when pausing longer than 30 sec.
the timer resets to the initial starting point.
Pressure Sensor
For optimal brushing results your toothbrush has a pressure control feature
to help you brush gently. This helps protect your gums from excessive
brushing and makes your toothbrush easy to operate. If too much pressure
is applied, the oscillating movement of the brush head will continue but the
pulsation will stop. In addition to feeling it, you can also hear a different
sound.
In the first days of using the toothbrush, your gums may bleed slightly.
In general, bleeding should stop after a few days. Should it persist after
two weeks, please consult your dentist or hygienist.
Dentists recommend that you replace any toothbrush every 3 months.
The INDICATOR bristles help you monitor and improve your brushing
performance. With proper brushing, twice a day for two minutes, the blue
colour on the INDICATOR bristles will fade halfway approximately within
3 months, signaling it is time to change the brush head (2a-2c).
Replacement brush heads are available at your retailer or Oral-B Braun
Service Centres.
Cleaning
After use, rinse the brush head for several seconds under running water
with the handle switched on. Then switch off the handle and remove the
brush head. Rinse both parts separately under running water (3) and wipe
them dry. From time to time, also clean the charging unit with a damp cloth
(4).
