IMPORTANT SAFEGUARDS
When using electrical products, especially when children are present, basic safety precautions should always be followed.
Read all instructions before using.
DANGER
In order to reduce the risk of electrocution:
1. Do not place or store the charger where it can fall or be pulled into a tub or sink.
2. Do not place the charger in water or other liquid.
3. Do not reach for a charger that has fallen into water. Unplug immediately.
WARNING
To reduce the risk of burns, electrocution, fire or injury:
1. Close supervision is neces- sary when this product is used by or near children or invalids.
2. Use this product only for its intended use as described in this manual. Do not use attachments not recom­mended by the manufac­turer.
3. Keep cord away from heated surfaces.
4. Never drop the appliance or insert any object into any opening of the appliance.
5. Never operate this product if it has a damaged cord or plug, if it is not working properly, if it has been drop- ped or damaged, or if the charger has been dropped into water. If any of these occur, please contact an Oral-B Braun Service Cen­ter and return the product for examination and repair.
IMPORTANT
1. Periodically check the cord for damage. If cord is damaged, take the charging unit to an Oral B Braun Service Center. A damaged

or non-functioning unit should no longer be used.
2. Do not touch the power plug with wet hands. This can cause electric shock.
3. When unplugging, always hold the power plug instead of the cord.
4. If the product is dropped, the brush head should be replaced befor the next use even if no damage is visible.
5. Do not modify the product. Do not disassemble or repair. This may cause fire, electric shock or injury. Consult your dealer for repairs or contact an Oral-B Braun Service center. Do not disassemble the product except when disposing of the battery.
6. When taking out the battery for disposal, use caution not to short the positive (+) and negative (-) terminals.
7. This product is not intended for use by children under age three.

Charging
• Plug the charging unit (D)
into an electrical outlet. Place the handle on the charging unit. Handle must be switched off.
* All Oral-B replacement brush heads can
be used on the Oral-B Vitality handle, except for Oral-B Sonic Complete and Oral-B CrossAction Power brush heads.

• A full charge takes 16 hours
and will provide an opera­tion time of approximately 20 minutes.
• For everyday use, the
handle can be stored on the plugged-in charging unit to maintain the toothbrush at full power. Overcharging is impossible.
Battery maintenance
To maintain the maximum capacity of the rechargeable battery, you must discharge it at least once every 6 months. To do this, unplug the charg­ing unit and allow the battery to run down with normal use.
Using the toothbrush
• Wet brush head and apply
toothpaste.
• Place brush head on teeth,
then switch on.
Slowly guide the brush head
from tooth to tooth, first the outsides, then the insides, finally the chewing surfaces. Do not press too hard or scrub.
• After two minutes (brushing
time recommended by dentists) the timer (D 12513 model only) will signal by a short stutter.
• During the first days of use,
gums may bleed slightly. Should bleeding persist after 2 weeks, contact your dentist.
• Replace brush head every
3 months, when bristles are worn (1c) or when color on Indicator bristles (1b) has faded half-way down the bristles.
Cleaning
After use, rinse the brush head under running water (2). Remove the brush head and rinse brush head and handle separately (3), then dry.
Environmental notice
This product contains rechargeable batteries. In the interest of protecting the environment, please do not dispose of the product in the household waste at the end of its useful life. Disposal can take place at an Oral-B Braun Service Center.

Oral-B Braun warrants this appliance to be free of defects in material and workmanship for a period of two years from the date of original purchase at retail.
If the appliance exhibits such a defect, Oral-B Braun will, at its option, repair or replace it without cost for parts and labor. The product must be carried in or shipped, prepaid and insured (recommended), to an authorized Oral-B Braun Service Center. Proof of date of original purchase is required.
The cost to ship the product to an authorized Service Center is the responsibility of the consumer, the cost to return the product to the consumer is the responsibility of Oral-B Braun.
This warranty does not cover finishes or normal wear, nor does it cover damage resulting
