When using electrical products, especially when children are present, basic safety precautions should always be followed, including the following:

Dear parents, The Braun Oral-B Kids’ Power Toothbrush has been developed with leading dental professionals to effectively remove plaque from children’s teeth. It will make it easier for your child to brush properly and thoroughly. We hope your child will enjoy his/her new Braun Oral-B appliance.

This appliance is suitable for children 3 years or older. Please read the use instructions carefully and completely before showing your child how to use the appliance. We recommend that parents supervise their children when they start using the appliance in order to help them become familiar with it.

Speciﬁcations

Start with the lower teeth: Slowly guide the brushhead from tooth to tooth;

– first the outsides, – then the insides, – finally the chewing surfaces.

Do not scrub or press too hard. The Braun Oral-B Kids’ Power Toothbrush automatically provides the proper cleaning action.

•

After one minute of operation, the brush movement will be interrupted by a short melody. This tells your child to move on to the upper teeth. Clean them – again tooth by tooth – until the next melody plays (after another minute of operation). This way you can make sure that your child brushes his/her teeth for at least 2 minutes as recommended by dental professionals.

Turn off the handle with switch

We recommend that you replace the brushhead every three months. The brushhead is provided with a row of blue INDICATOR With proper brushing twice a day for two minutes, the color will disappear half-way down these bristles in a 3-month period (2b), provided toothpaste is used. If bristles begin to splay before the color starts to recede, this indicates that your child exerts too much pressure on teeth and gums (2c).

Connecting and charging

The toothbrush is electrically safe and can be used in the bathroom without hesitation.

Plug the charging unit into an electrical outlet. Place the handle on the charging unit. The charge indicator will light up (1).

A full charge takes 16 hours and

For everyday use, the handle

can be stored on the plugged-in charging unit to maintain the appliance at full power. Overcharging is impossible.

Batter To maintain the maximum capacity of the rechargeable battery, unplug the charging unit and discharge the handle by regular use at least every 6 months.

Using the electric toothbrush with music timer

Use the following steps to show and explain to your child how to use the appliance properly:

Cleaning

After use, rinse the brushhead for several seconds under running water with the handle switched on (3). Then switch off the handle and take off the brushhead. Rinse both parts separately under running water (4) and wipe them dry before putting the handle back onto the charging unit.

Braun and the environment

This product contains nickelcadmium rechargeable batteries. In the interest of protecting the environment, do not dispose of the product in the household waste at the end of its useful life. Disposal can take place at a Braun Service Center.

However, if you prefer to dispose of the battery yourself, please refer to the section «Battery removal».

Branchement et recharge

La brosse à dents électrique bénéficie d’une sécurité électrique totale et peut être utilisée dans une salle de bains sans aucun danger.

complète, après laquelle vous disposez d’environ 30 minutes d’autonomie. Pour une utilisation quotidienne,

le corps de brosse peut rester posé sur le chargeur pour que la brosse à dents conserve sa pleine capacité. Il n’y a aucun risque de surcharge.

Entretien des batteries Pour conserver la pleine capacité des batteries rechargeables, débrancher le chargeur et décharger le corps de brosse au moins tous les 6 mois en l’utilisant régulièrement jusqu’à décharge complète.

Brosse à dents électrique avec minuteur musical

Suivez les étapes ci-dessous pour montrer et expliquer à votre enfant comment bien utiliser l’appareil :

Quand vous enlèverez le corps

•

de brosse de son chargeur, vous entendrez jouer une courte mélodie. Mettre un petit peu de dentifrice sur

•

la brossette (nous recommandons du dentifrice au fluor). Introduire la brosse dans la bouche

avant de la mettre en marche en appuyant sur le commutateur (B). Commencer par les dents du bas.

Déplacer lentement la brosse dent après dent :

– tout d’abord sur les surfaces

extérieures, – puis sur les surfaces intérieures, – et enfin sur les surfaces de

mastication. Ne pas frotter ou appuyer trop fort. La brosse à dents électrique pour enfants procure automatiquement la bonne action de brossage.

Au bout d’une minute de brossage,

•

le mouvement de la brosse est interrompu par une courte mélodie. Cela indique à votre enfant qu’il doit maintenant procéder au brossage de ses dents du haut. Brosser celles-ci – à nouveau dent après dent – jusqu’à ce que joue une nouvelle mélodie (après encore une minute de brossage). Ainsi vous pouvez être sûr(e) que votre enfant se brossera les dents au moins pendant 2 minutes, comme le recommandent les professionnels des soins dentaires.

•

Appuyer sur le commutateur (B) pour arrêter la brosse à dents pendant qu’elle est encore dans la bouche.

Nous vous recommandons de changer de brossette tous les 3 mois. La brossette est munie d’une rangée de soies bleues INDICATOR À raison d’un bon brossage de 2 minutes, 2 fois par jour, et en utilisant du dentifrice, la couleur va s’effacer sur la mi-hauteur des soies au bout de 3 mois d’utilisation (2b). Si les soies commencent à s’écarter avant que la couleur ne commence à s’effacer, cela signifie que votre enfant exerce une trop forte pression sur ses dents et ses gencives (2c).

Entretien

Rincer la brossette sous l’eau du robinet, avec le commutateur en marche, pendant quelques secondes après utilisation (3). Arrêter l’appareil et ôter ensuite la brossette du corps de brosse. Nettoyer séparément les 2 parties sous l’eau du robinet (4). Ensuite, essuyez-les avant de reposer le corps de brosse sur le chargeur.

Braun et l’environnement

Ce produit comprend une pile rechargeable au nickelcadmium. Afin de contribuer à la protection de l’environnement, ne jetez pas cet appareil dans les ordures ménagères lorsqu’il arrive en fin de vie. Vous pouvez vous en défaire auprès d’un centre de collecte approprié.

Braun warrants this Braun appliance to be free of defects in material and workmanship for a period of two years from the date of original purchase at retail.

If the appliance exhibits such a defect, Braun will, at its option, repair or replace it without cost for parts and labor. The product must be carried in or shipped, prepaid and insured (recommended), to an authorized Braun Service Center. Proof of date of original purchase is required.

The cost to ship the product to an authorized Service Center is the responsibility of the consumer, the cost to return the product to the consumer is the responsibility of Braun.

In the event a Braun appliance fails to function within the specified warranty period because of defects in material or workmanship, and the consumer returns the unit to an authorized service centre, Braun Canada will, at its option either repair or replace the unit without additional charge to the consumer. This warranty does not cover any product which has been damaged by dropping, tampering, servicing performed or attempted by unauthorized service agencies, misuse or abuse. This warranty excludes units which have been modified or used for commercial purposes.

Conexión y carga

El cepillo de dientes es eléctricamente seguro y puede ser utilizado en el cuarto de baño sin problemas.

• Enchufe el cargador a la corriente.

Coloque el mango en el cargador. Se encenderá el indicador de carga (1).

• Se tarda unas 16 horas para

alcanzar la carga al máxima, que proporciona un tiempo de funcionamiento de 30 minutos.

• Para uso diario, el mango se puede

dejar en el soporte cargador, consiguiendo así mantener la carga al máximo. Es imposible que se sobrecargue.

Mantenimiento de la batería Para conservar la batería funcionando al máximo rendimiento, desenchufe el cargador y deje que se descargue el mango por lo menos cada seis meses.

Eliminación de placa con un temporizador musical

Siga los siguientes pasos para mostrar y explicar a su hijo cómo utilizar el aparato correctamente:

• Cuando se levanta el mango del

soporte cargador, suena una breve melodía.

• Ponga una pequeña cantidad de

pasta de dientes en el cepillo (recomendamos pasta fluorada).

• Coloque el cepillo sobre los

dientes, y sólo entonces el interruptor del mango (B).

ores: vaya moviendo lentamente el cepillo de un diente a otro;

– primero por fuera, – luego por dentro –y para terminar, las superficies

de masticado.

• Tras un minuto de uso, el movi-

miento del cepillo será interrumpido por una breve melodía. Ésta le avisa de que ha de proceder a la limpieza de los dientes superiores. Límpielos, una vez más de uno en uno, hasta que vuelva a sonar otra melodía (tras otro minuto de funcionamiento). De esta manera, puede estar usted seguro de que su hijo se ha cepillado los dientes durante al menos dos minutos, como recomiendan los expertos dentales.

• Apague el mango utilizando el

interruptor (B) mientras el cepillo aún se encuentra en la boca.

Recomendamos que cambie el cabezal del cepillo cada tres meses. El cepillo tiene una fila de cerdas INDICATOR cepillado adecuado, dos veces al día durante dos minutos, el color azul de las cerdas desaparecerá hasta la mitad en un periodo de 3 meses (2b), siempre que se utilice pasta de dientes. Si las cerdas comienzan a desgastarse antes de que empiece a desaparecer el color, significa que su hijo está ejerciendo mucha presión sobre los dientes y encías (2c).

Limpieza

Después de cada uso, enjuague bien el cabezal del cepillo de dientes con agua corriente durante varios segundos con el interruptor encendido (3). Apague el aparato y retire el cabezal del mango. Limpie ambas piezas por separado con agua corriente (4), y luego séquelas antes de volver a colocar el cepillo en el cargador.

Este producto contiene baterías recargables de níquelcadmio. Para preservar el medio ambiente, no tire este producto a la basura al final de su vida útil. Puede entregarlo en un Centro de Servicio Braun o en lugares de recogida apropiados.
