Function
To work properly, the clock should be used
only at temperatures above freezing (0°C).
reflex control
Congratulation on your purchase of the
AB 314 rsl reflex control alarm clock,
designed by Braun to make mornings easier.
After
the third burst of the alarm tone the
alarm can be stopped and the snooze
function activated by a simply movement of a
hand in the vicinity of the clock face
(maximum operating distance 40 cm/16 in.).
The movement of the hand in front of the
clock should be dia
gonal and slightly above
the green infrared sensor. At the same time
the clock face is automatically illuminated.
The alarm signal will start again 8 minutes
later, and repeats for ca. 35 minutes. The
alarm function can only be totally switched off
by pressing the red button.
By pressing either the red or the green button
the light can be turned on, and the clock can
thus be used as a flashlight.
bcs
This clock has a «battery check system»
(bcs), which constantly checks the battery's
voItage leveI. When the battery’s energy
drops below a certain level, the second hand
moves in 2-second intervaIs. This indicates
that the battery should be replaced. When a
new battery is inserted, the second hand will
move in 2-second intervals for 8 seconds
(4 times). If the second hand moves normally
thereafter, the battery has enough voltage.
Do not dispose of empty batteries in
the household waste.
Take them to special local collection
sites.
Setting the time
Press the button at the back of the clock so
that the button pops out. Only turn this button
clockwise (direction of the arrow).
Important: After setting the time, press the
button back into the housing.
Alarm function
To avoid accidentally switching on the alarm,
the lock switch should be turned on when
travelling: press the switch marked «lock» all
the way to the end, in the direction of the «on»
button.

This product is guaranteed for 1 year
from date of purchase against material
and/or workmanship defects. These will
be eliminated either by repairing or
exchanging the appliance as we may
choose. All other claims, including for
damages, are excluded. Service under
the guarantee does not affect its expiry
date.
Claims only valid in countries where
product is officially sold and if accompanied by a stamped and dated
guarantee card.
Claims arising out of the sales contract
with the vendor are not affected by this
guarantee.

it is strongly recommended that you have
it checked every two years by an approved
Gold Seal Service Centre.
In the unlikely event that you experience a
problem with this product, Braun (UK) Ltd.
promise to resolve the problem within 5
days (excluding weekends) of receipt by
an approved Gold Seal Service Centre.
The method of resolution of the problem
will be at Braun (UK) Ltd's discretion.

Funktion
Um eine einwandfreie Funktion sicherzustellen, sollte die Uhr nur bei einer
Temperatur über 0°C betrieben werden.
reflex control
Die Braun reflex control AB 314 rsl macht
es Ihnen morgens leicht. Durch den eingebauten Infrarot-Sensor kann das Wecksignal
nach
Ertönen des dritten Intervall-Wecktones
mit einer Handbewegung bis maximal 40 cm
vor der Uhr unterbrochen werden.
Diese Unterbrechung durch Handbewegung
löst immer die Nachweckautomatik aus, die
das Wecksignal im 8-Minuten-Takt erneut
einsetzen läßt – bis zu ca. 35 Minuten oder
bis die Uhr durch Niederdrücken der roten
Weckfunktionstaste ausgeschaltet wird.
Gleichzeitig wird die Zifferblattbeleuchtung
für ca. 4 Sekunden eingeschaltet. Die
Handbewegung vor der Uhr sollte diagonal
nach oben über den grünen Infrarot-Sensor
ausgeführt werden.
Der Infrarot-Sensor ist nur aktiv, während
das Wecksignal ertönt; unbeabsichtigtes
Ausschalten der Weckbereitschaft, z. B.
nachts, ist daher nicht möglich.
Durch Herunterdrücken der grünen Taste
können Signalunterbrechung, Nachweckautomatik und Zifferblattbeleuchtung auch
von Hand ausgelöst werden. Das Abschalten
der Weckfunktion erfolgt ausschließlich durch
Niederdrücken der roten Taste. Durch
Fingerdruck auf die rote oder grüne Taste
können Sie zu jeder Zeit beliebig lange die
Beleuchtung einschalten und die Weckuhr
als Taschenlampe benutzen.
bcs
Diese Uhr ist mit «battery check system»
(bcs) ausgestattet. Das «bcs» überwacht
laufend die Batteriespannung. Wenn eine
bestimmte Spannungsgrenze der Batterie
unterschritten wird, rückt der Sekundenzeiger nicht mehr in 1-Sekunden-Schritten,
sondern in 2-Sekunden-Schritten vor. Damit
wird angezeigt, daß die Batterie erneuert
werden muß.
Wenn eine neue Batterie eingesetzt wird,
bewegt sich der Sekundenzeiger 8 Sekunden
lang (4mal) im 2-Sekunden-Takt. Die
normale Bewegung danach im 1-SekundenTakt zeigt an, daß die Batteriespannung
ausreicht.
Verbrauchte Batterien gehören
nicht in den Hausmüll. Geben Sie
diese bei entsprechenden Sammelstellen ab.
Einstellen der Uhrzeit
Zum bequemen Einstellen der Uhrzeit den
Drehknopf an der Rückseite der Uhr
antippen, so daß er herausspringt. Diesen
Knopf nur im Uhrzeigersinn (Pfeilrichtung)
drehen.
Wichtig: Nach dem Einstellen der Uhrzeit
den Knopf wieder hineindrücken.
Weckfunktion
Um ein unbeabsichtigtes Einschalten der
Weckfunktion zu vermeiden, sollte auf
Reisen die Einschaltsperre betätigt werden:
Schalter «lock» bis zum Anschlag in Richtung
«on» Taste schieben.

Garantie
Als Hersteller übernehmen wir für dieses
Gerät – nach Wahl des Käufers zusätzlich
zu den gesetzlichen Gewährleistungsansprüchen gegen den Verkäufer – eine
Garantie von einem Jahr ab Kaufdatum.
Innerhalb dieser Garantiezeit beseitigen wir
nach unserer Wahl durch Reparatur oder
Austausch des Gerätes unentgeltlich alle
Mängel, die auf Material- oder Herstellungsfehlern beruhen. Durch die Ausführung von
Garantieleistungen wird die Garantiefrist in
keiner Weise berührt.
Die Garantie wird unter Vorlage der
ausgefüllten Garantiekarte in den Ländern
gewährt, in denen das Produkt von Braun
oder ihren autorisierten Händlern verkauft
wird; sie erlischt beim Eingriff anderer als der
von Braun autorisierten Stellen.
