5. ASSEMBLY
Place the grill on a firm, stable, heatproof
and horizontal surface.
There are two types of plate to choose from,
depending on the food you are going to cook:
• Grill plates (3.a): these are suitable for
cooking hamburgers, (boneless) meat,
vegetables or paninis.
• Griddle plates (3.b): these are suitable
for cooking sandwiches, bread or
quesadillas.
Each plate has its position engraved at
one end. The plate marked with “Lower”
position is for fitting into the lower base.
And the plate showing “Upper” position is
for fitting into the upper lid. To install the
grill plates
(3), lift the rear part of the plate
and the holes of the plate with the metal
supports, as shown in
figure B. Slide the
plate underneath the supports and lower
the plate to fit it into the appliance.
To release the plates, press the plate
release buttons
(7) down firmly. The plate
will spring away slightly from the base and
you can extract the plates from the grill.
In addition, with this grill, you can cook in
two positions:
Contact position (Fig. C & D):
In the contact position, the food is pressed
between the two plates and the food to be
cooked is grilled on both sides at the same
time.
Use the grill with the grill plates
(3.a) as a
contact grill
(Fig. C) to cook hamburgers,
(boneless) meat and vegetables.
