• Do not leave the appliance exposed to
the elements (rain, sun, ice, etc.).
• Do not use or let any part of the
appliance come into contact or near hot
surfaces (kitchen gas or electric hobs or
ovens).
• Do not use detergents or abrasive
sponges to clean the appliance.
• Do not touch the hot surfaces. Use the
handles.
• Do not let the cable come into contact
with the hot parts of the appliance.
• Only use the kettle with the base
provided; do not use any other type of
connection.
• Do not use the appliance on or near hot
surfaces such as radiators, cookers,
gas burners or similar.
• When the appliance is in operation,
the jug reaches high temperatures and
there is a risk of burns. Use only the
handle to pour the water.
• Avoid contact with steam coming out
from the spout of the jug.
• Do not open the lid when the water is
boiling.
• Do not fill the kettle above the MAX
level.
• Only use the appliance to heat or boil
water.
4. BEFORE USING
FOR THE FIRST TIME
Before using the first time or after a
prolonged period of storage, fill the kettle
up to the maximum level, boil the water
and serve it following the steps indicated in
the point below
.
5. OPERATION
FILLING THE KETTLE
• Place the appliance on a flat, dry, stable
surface.
• Remove the appliance from its base (D).
Open the lid
(A) by pressing the opening
button
(B) (fig. 2) and fill the jug with
water.
• The amount of water may be seen
through the water level indicator and
must not be below 0.5 litres or above
1.7 litres or the “MAX” mark.
• If the kettle is overfilled, it is possible
that the water may overflow when
boiling.
CONNECTION
• Close the lid, ensuring that it fits
hermetically in its place.
• Place the kettle on its base (D). Unwind
the wire from the base and plug it into
the socket.
• Move switch (C) to the “ON” position
to connect the kettle. The light
(E) will
come on to indicate that the kettle is
heating up.
• Never open the lid while the water is
boiling.
DISCONNECTION
• Alter boiling the water, the kettle is
automatically disconnected and the light
goes off.
• If you wish to disconnect the kettle
prior to automatic disconnection, move
switch
(C) to the “OFF” position.
• You may now remove the kettle from its
base and serve the water.
6. CLEANING
• Before cleaning, unplug the connection
base (D) and allow the kettle to cool
down.
• Do not submerge the connection base
or the kettle in water.
• Clean the outside of the kettle and
the connection base with a slightly
damp cloth, ensuring that the electrical
components remain dry.
• Do not use abrasive or degreasing
agents.
• To prevent particles of lime from
becoming detached in the liquid, the
kettle incorporates a lime filter
(F). To
clean it, remove it by pulling upwards
(fig. 3). Clean the filter by rinsing it
under the tap and use a soft brush to
remove any lime which has become
