READ INSTRUCTIONS BEFORE INSTALLING
HELPFUL HINTS
• When installing multiple dampers, before
installing all dampers, wire each damper
individually and cycle to confirm damper
operation.
• Ensure all ducts are round and the damper
can move feely from open to closed once inside
the duct.
• Ensure the damper s u-frame is in-line with
the center of the duct.
• DO NOT OVER TIGHTEN the screws when
securing the damper to the duct. Make sure
the U-Channel seal and ends just meet the
outside of the duct.
The Retrofit Round Damper is complete with Installation
Mounting Template and four mounting screws.
CHECKOUT
To checkout the operation of the
dampers place 24V across terminals
M1 and M4, the damper will open
and the Green LED will light at the
end of the cycle. Place 24V to
terminals M1 and M6 and the
damper will close and the Red LED
will light at the end of the cycle. All
dampers are 100% factory tested.
TROUBLESHOOTING
After performing the checkout of
the damper, check the motor
terminals for 24V across terminals M1
and M4 if the damper is supposed
to be open, and M1 and M6 if the
damper is to be closed. If power is
not at the proper terminals, check
the wiring and control panel for
power.

Minimum Position Adjustment
The damper travel can be set to a
Minimum and Maximum position. To
adjust these positions, remove the two side
screws holding the black cover and
remove. See the photos at right and
above the motor there are two cams and
a set screw. Loosen the set screw and
move the cams to adjust to a Min/Max
position and re-tighten set screw.

Installation Instructions

RetroFIT Round Installation Instructions
Peel off the back of the installation
template and align along the centerline
of the duct and insure the template is
straight before adhering to the duct.
Drill a 3/4 diameter holes, at the end of the cut
area.
Drill another hole on the opposite end
of the cut out area.
Using a pair of snips or shears, cut along the top
and bottom of the cut out area to make the
opening for the damper.
Ensure Template is straight along centerline

CAUTION: If duct is too
oval the duct can interfere
with the damper blade
a n d not allow a full
rotation.
Wiring Diagram
Insert the damper into the duct. I t is
recommended to plug-in each damper motor
before securing the damper to the duct and
cycle the damper. This will avoid possibly pulling
the damper out of the duct later to check for
proper alignment that may cause the damper to
jam.
While keeping the damper in-line with the duct,
secure using the screws provided. Tighten until
the damper end plate meets the duct. DO NOT
SCREW IN TIGHT TO THE DUCT AS THIS MAY CAUSE THE DAMPER
TO JAM. Dampers Only need to a snug fit to duct.

To Control Panel
Use standard three (3) conductor low voltage wiring from control panel motor terminals to each motor. Multiple
Dampers are wired in parallel. Note: A maximum of 12 dampers can be powered from a 24V 40VA transformer.
