the basic installation procedure for the FX3, not the
exact installation methods to be used in any given
case. If you do not have the experience that these
procedures require, we strongly suggest you consult

Installation: The FX3 can be installed above or below
the mounting surface. Typically, your vehicle will
accommodate the FX3 without modification. When
the speaker has been correctly mounted, there
should be no air leaks between the front and back of
the surface that the speaker is mounted to.

worden geïnstalleerd. In het algemeen kunt u de FX3
zonder modificaties in uw voertuig onderbrengen. Bij
een juist gemonteerde luidspreker mogen er zich geen

Installation : Les haut-parleurs FX3 peuvent être
installés au-dessus ou au-dessous de la surface de

Connecting the Wires: Connect the factory speaker
wire from the amp to the speakers, paying attention
to the polarity of the connections. Use the marked
wire to connect the positive (+) terminals and the
plain wire to connect the negative (-) terminals. On
the FX3, the larger terminal is the positive (+) one.
De kabels aansluiten: Sluit de luidsprekerkabel van de
fabriek aan vanaf de versterker naar de luidsprekers,
waarbij u dient te letten op de polariteit van de aansluitingen. Verbind de gemerkte ader met de positieve (+)
contacten en de ongemerkte ader met de negatieve (–)
contacten. Op de FX3 is het grotere contact het positieve (+).
Connexion des câbles : Connectez le câble de hautparleur d’origine entre l’amplificateur et les haut-parleurs,
en veillant à la polarité des connexions. Connectez les
bornes positives (+) avec le fil marqué et les bornes
négatives (–) avec le fil uni. Sur le FX3, la plus grande
borne représente le positif (+).
Anschluß: Schließen Sie die vorhandenen Lautsprecherkabel vom Verstärker zu den Lautsprechern unter

The Boston Acoustics FX4 is a two-way speaker
system that fits most standard 4-inch (100 mm)
cutouts and requires only 2 inches (51 mm) clearance behind the mounting surface. It can be used
with factory grilles, or with the supplied grilles.

van 100 mm, waarbij slechts 51 mm vrije ruimte

Installation: The FX4 can be installed above or below
the mounting surface behind factory grilles. Typically,
your vehicle will accommodate the FX4 without
modification. If not, use the supplied template to cut
a mounting hole.
Before cutting a hole, check the clearance of
both speaker locations. Avoid speaker contact with
door frames, handles, and window tracks. Check
the window clearance by rolling the window up
and down. Also check for clearance with the door
opened and closed.
Attach the wires to the speaker and attach the
assembly to the cutout as shown. Be sure to connect
positive to positive, negative to negative. When the
speaker has been correctly mounted, there should
be no air leaks between the front and back of the
surface that the speaker is mounted to.

vrije ruimte tevens bij een geopende of gesloten deur.
Bevestig de kabels aan de luidspreker en bevestig
het geheel in de uitsparing zoals aangegeven. Zorg
ervoor dat u positief aan positief, en negatief aan negatief aansluit. Bij een juist gemonteerde luidspreker
mogen er zich geen luchtlekken bevinden tussen de
voor- en achterzijde van het montagevlak.

Avant de percer l’ouverture, vérifiez le dégagement
disponible pour les deux haut-parleurs. Ils ne doivent
toucher ni le cadre de la portière, ni les poignées, ni les
coulisses des fenêtres. Ouvrez et fermez les vitres pour
en vérifier le dégagement. Vérifiez également le dégagement la porte ouverte, puis la porte fermée.
Connectez les câbles au haut-parleur, puis
reportez-vous à l’illustration pour monter l’ensemble
sur son emplacement. Veillez à connecter le positif sur
le positif et le négatif sur le négatif. Lorsque le hautparleur a été monté correctement, l’air ne doit pas
passer entre les surfaces avant et arrière du support
de montage.

den Einbauausschnitt mit Hilfe der beiliegenden
Schablone.
Prüfen Sie vor dem Vergrößern des Einbauausschnitts, ob für beide Lautsprecher die erforderliche
Einbautiefe gegeben ist. Achten Sie darauf, daß die
Lautsprecher nicht mit Türrahmen, Griffen oder dem
Fenstermechanismus in Berührung kommen. Stellen
Sie sicher, daß sich die Fenster auch mit eingebauten
Lautsprechern noch öffnen und schließen lassen.
Vergewissern Sie sich, daß der nötige Abstand auch
beim Öffnen und Schließen der Türen gegeben ist.
Befestigen Sie die Kabel an den Lautsprechern
und montieren Sie die Baugruppe auf dem Einbauausschnitt (siehe Abbildung). Achten Sie darauf,
daß Plus- und Minuskabel nicht vertauscht werden.
Sachgemäß befestigte Lautsprecher sitzen luftdicht
auf der Montagefläche.

caso contrario, usare la mascherina fornita per praticare il foro di montaggio.
Prima di praticare il foro, controllare lo spazio
libero disponibile in corrispondenza all’ubicazione
desiderata di entrambi gli altoparlanti. Evitare di porre
gli altoparlanti in contatto con i telai delle portiere, con
le maniglie e con i binari dei finestrini. Controllare lo
spazio libero del finestrino sollevandolo ed abbassandolo a fine corsa. Controllare anche lo spazio libero
della portiera, aprendola e chiudendola.
Collegare i fili all’altoparlante e montare il gruppo
sulla sfinestratura nel modo illustrato. Accertarsi di
collegare il filo positivo con il polo positivo e quello
negativo con il polo negativo. Se l’installazione è stata
eseguita correttamente, non devono esistere perdite
d’aria tra la parte anteriore e quella posteriore della
superficie di montaggio dell’altoparlante stesso.

Instalación: El FX4 puede ser instalado arriba o debajo

Installation: The FX5 can be installed above or below
the mounting surface behind factory grilles. Typically,
your vehicle will accommodate the FX5 without modification. If not, use the supplied template to cut a
mounting hole.
Before cutting a hole, check the clearance of
both speaker locations. Avoid speaker contact with
door frames, handles, and window tracks. Check the
window clearance by rolling the window up and
down. Also check for clearance with the door opened
and closed.
Attach the wires to the speaker and attach the
assembly to the cutout as shown. Be sure to connect
positive to positive, negative to negative.
When the speaker has been correctly mounted,
there should be no air leaks between the front and
back of the surface that the speaker is mounted to.
Installatie: De FX5 kan op of onder het montagevlak
achter de fabrieksgrill worden geïnstalleerd. In het algemeen kunt u de FX5 zonder modificaties in uw voertuig
onderbrengen. Als dit niet het geval is, kunt u met de
meegeleverde sjabloon een montagegat uitsnijden.
Controleer voordat u het gat snijdt de vrije ruimte
ter plaatse van de beide luidsprekers. Vermijd dat de
luidsprekers in contact komen met deurframes, handels of raamgeleiders. Controleer of het raam vrij kan
bewegen door het op-en-neer te draaien. Controleer de
vrije ruimte tevens bij een geopende of gesloten deur.
Bevestig de kabels aan de luidspreker en bevestig
het geheel in de uitsparing zoals aangegeven. Zorg
ervoor dat u positief aan positief, en negatief aan
negatief aansluit. Bij een juist gemonteerde luidspreker
mogen er zich geen luchtlekken bevinden tussen de
voor- en achterzijde van het montagevlak.

Avant de percer l’ouverture, vérifiez le dégagement
disponible pour les deux haut-parleurs. Ils ne doivent
toucher ni le cadre de la portière, ni les poignées, ni les
coulisses des fenêtres. Ouvrez et fermez les vitres pour
en vérifier le dégagement. Vérifiez également le dégagement la porte ouverte, puis la porte fermée.
Connectez les câbles au haut-parleur, puis
reportez-vous à l’illustration pour monter l’ensemble
sur son emplacement. Veillez à connecter le positif sur
le positif et le négatif sur le négatif. Lorsque le hautparleur a été monté correctement, l’air ne doit pas
passer entre les surfaces avant et arrière du support
de montage.

Einbauausschnitt mit Hilfe der beiliegenden Schablone.
Prüfen Sie vor dem Vergrößern des Einbauausschnitts, ob für beide Lautsprecher die erforderliche
Einbautiefe gegeben ist. Achten Sie darauf, daß die
Lautsprecher nicht mit Türrahmen, Griffen oder dem
Fenstermechanismus in Berührung kommen. Stellen
Sie sicher, daß sich die Fenster auch mit eingebauten
Lautsprechern noch öffnen und schließen lassen. Vergewissern Sie sich, daß der nötige Abstand auch beim
Öffnen und Schließen der Türen gegeben ist.
Befestigen Sie die Kabel an den Lautsprechern
und montieren Sie die Baugruppe auf dem Einbauausschnitt (siehe Abbildung). Achten Sie darauf, daß Plusund Minuskabel nicht vertauscht werden. Sachgemäß
befestigte Lautsprecher sitzen luftdicht auf der
Montagefläche.

in fabbrica. Di solito, è possibile montare il FX5 nelle
