1.Tokeepthediscclean: Donotattachanystickeroradhesivetapeonthedisc. Handlethediscbyitsedgetokeepthedisccleananddonottouchthesurface. Beforeplayingadisc,wipeitoffwithaclean,dust-freecleaningcloth. Wipethediscoutwardsfromthedisccenter.
2.Whenonehasalreadybeeninserted.Doingsomaydamagetheunit withlabeledsurfaceup,oritwilldamagetheunit.
3.Donotexposethedisctodirectsunlightornearbyheatsourcessuchasheating vents,caliductwhichcancausethedisctowarp. Donotleavediscinacarifitisparkedindirectsunlightasthatwillleadtoa considerableriseinthetemperatureinsidethecar.
4.Donotuseanysecondhandorrenteddisc,usually,thereisglueonthesurfaceof thosediscs,itwillstoptheunitworkinganddamageit.
5.Alwaysstorethediscinitscaseforprotection.Scratchedupdiscswillproducepoor soundperformanceandcauseCDplayertoskip.
6.Inrainingdayorwetarea,themoisturemayformonthediscortheopticalparts, theplaybackmaynotbepossible.Ifmoistureformsonthedisc,wipeitoffwitha softcloth. Ifmoistureformsontheopticalpartsoftheunit,allowtheunittositforaboutone hourwithpoweron.

WhenAFswitchingmodeisselected,theradiochecksthesignalstrengthof AFallthetime.TheintervalofcheckingtimeofeachAFsdependsonthe signalstrengthofcurrentstation,fromafewminuteforstrongstationtoafew secondsforweakstation.EverytimethatnewAFisstrongerthancurrent station,itswitchesovertothatfrequencyforveryshorttime,and NEWFREQUENCYisdisplayedfor1-2seconds.BecausethemutetimeofAF switchingorcheckingtimeisveryshort,itisalmostinaudibleincaseof normalprogram. DuringFMmode,whenAFison,SEEK,(SCAN),AUTO-MEMORYfunctioncan onlyreceiveandsaveRDSprogram.
3)TASEEK/TAALARM: TASEEKmode:whennewlytunedstationdoesnotreceiveTPinformationfor 5seconds,theradioretunestonextstationwhichhasadifferentPItothelast station,buthastheTPinformation. WhenTPinformationgetslostatthecurrentstationforretunetimewhichis setbyRETUNESHORT(60seconds)orRETUNELONG(90seconds),the radiostartstoretunetonextsamePIstation.WhensamePIstationdoesnot receivein1cyclicsearch,theradioretunestonextstationwithTPinformation. TAALARMmode:whenthismodeisselected,anyautomaticretunemodeis notactivated.Onlydoublebeepsound(ALARM)willbeheard. WhennewlytunedstationdoesnothaveTPinformationfor5seconds,beeps aresounded. WhenTPinformationgetslostatthecurrentstationforretunetime,thebeep soundwillbeheard. WhennewlytunedstationhasnoRDSsignal,PISEEKissuppressed.
20.SDCARDSLOT
WhenyouneedtoplaythefileintheSDcard,inserttheSDcardintothe SDcardslot.ThesystemwillchangeintotheSDmodeautomatically, andthenplaythefirstfileintheSD. Note: WhenSDcardandUSBstickarebothinsertedintotheirslotorsocket,the systemwillchangeintotheplaybackmodeofthelatterone.

Thisisananti-theftinstallationmethod. ThemainunitwearsaMETALMOUNTINGSLEEVE. Pleaseconnectthewiring,eg,thePowersupply,theSpeakersandtheAntenna accordingtotherequirementsofthisInstructionManual,theninstallthemetalmounting sleeveintothecarasperthediagramillustratedbelow.

5)RETUNEL/RETUNES: TheinitialtimeofautomaticTAsearchorPISEARCHmodeisselected. WhenPIinformationisnotreceivedforretuneinterval,theradiostartsto retunetonextsamePIstation. WhensamePIstationdoesnotreceive1cyclicsearch,theradiogoestolast stationandwaitsfor4-5minutesuntilPIcodeisreceived. RETUNELmode:selectedas90seconds. RETUNESmode:selectedas60seconds.

9-14. PRESET STATION MEM O RY AND TOP/>||, INT, RPT, R DM BUTTONS
a) Dur ing radio mode:
Go to any preset station by pr essing o ne of t he 6 preset station buttons (1-6).
If one of these buttons is pressed for more than 2 seconds, the station currently being liste ned t o will be memorized into the selected preset button.
b) Dur ing disc, SD or USB mode:
1) Press the TOP
/ >|| button briefly to interrupt the playback of the disc, SD
or USB . Press again to resume normal playback of the disc, SD or USB.
Press the TOP/>| | button an d hold for approximately 0. 5 second s to play the first track of the disc, SD or USB.
2) Press the INT button to sa mple the first 10 s econds par t of each track, a nd the INT ON wil l be visible on the LC D display. In the process of INT, pressINT button again to sto p sampling and to continue playing the current track, and the LCD will display INT OFF.
3) Press th e RPT button once to play the curr ent trac k repeatedly, and th e RPT ONE will be vi sible on the LCD display. During MP3/WMA disc, SD or USB
mode, press the RPT button twice continuously to play the current folder repeatedly, and the RP T DIR will be visible on the LCD displa y. In the process of RPT, press RPT button again to s top playing repeatedly mode and the LCD will display RPT OF F.
4) Press th e RDM button to play all tracks on disc in random orde r, and t he RD M ON will b e visible on t he LC D display. In the process of RDM, press RD M butto n again t o sto p playing in random order and the LCD will displa y RDM OFF.
5) Press th e 5 and 6 button to move up and down10 tracks at a time.
