5. Do not use this apparatus near water or moisture – Do not use this

product near a bathtub, washbowl, kitchen sink, laundry tub, in a wet

6. Clean only with a dry cloth – and as directed by Bose Corporation. Unplug

this product from the wall outlet before cleaning.

7. Do not block any ventilation openings. Install in accordance with the

manufacturer’s instructions – To ensure reliable operation of the product
and to protect it from overheating, put the product in a position and location
that will not interfere with its proper ventilation. For example, do not place
the product on a bed, sofa, or similar surface that may block the ventilation
openings. Do not put it in a built-in system, such as a bookcase or a cabinet,
that may keep air from flowing through its ventilation openings.

8. Do not install near any heat sources, such as radiators, heat registers,

stoves, or other apparatus (including amplifiers) that produce heat.

9. Do not defeat the safety purpose of the polarized or grounding-type

plug. A polarized plug has two blades with one wider than the other. A
grounding-type plug has two blades and a third grounding prong. The wider
blade or third prong are provided for your safety. If the provided plug does
not fit in your outlet, consult an electrician for replacement of the obsolete
outlet.

10. Protect the power cord from being walked on or pinched, particularly at

plugs, convenience receptacles, and the point where they exit from the
apparatus.

11. Only use attachments/accessories specified by the manufacturer.

12. Unplug this apparatus during lightning storms or when unused for long

periods of time – to prevent damage to this product.

USING YOUR WAVE® CONNECT KIT

Recommended placement

We recommend that you place the dock to the right of your Bose® Wave® music
system so the iPod has minimal effect on FM or AM reception.

Be sure the IR sensor on the front of the iPod dock is visible and aligned with the
Wave system IR sensor so both products respond to the remote.

with this new remote (shown below). Then you can use the new remote exclu­sively (not the buttons on your Wave

Docking your iPod

Insert your iPod firmly into the dock and make sure it is securely seated in the
dock adapter. Your iPod turns on in a paused state and begins charging, as
needed. Even if the paused iPod turns off automatically, it continues to charge.

Playing your iPod

Be sure to aim the remote so its signals reach the IR sensor on the front of the
dock. Then use these buttons as follows:

• Press iPod to turn on your system and begin iPod

• Press Tune/Playlist to move from one playlist to another.

Empfohlene Aufstellung

Mit einem Wave® Music System mit Mehrfach-CD-Wechsler: Verbinden Sie

Steuerung des iPod und des Bose®-Systems

Es wird empfohlen, die Fernbedienung, die Sie mit dem Wave® Music System
erhalten haben, durch die neue Fernbedienung (unten abgebildet) zu ersetzen.
Verwenden Sie dann ausschließlich die neue Fernbedienung (nicht die Tasten am

Setzen Sie den iPod fest in das Dock und achten Sie darauf, dass er fest im
Dockadapter sitzt. Der iPod wird im Pause-Status eingeschaltet und ggf.
aufgeladen. Auch wenn der iPod im Pause-Status automatisch ausgeschaltet
wird, wird er weiterhin aufgeladen.

Sie können diesen Dockadapter durch den Adapter ersetzen,
der speziell für Ihren iPod entwickelt und mit diesem geliefert
wurde. Lösen Sie den Adapter mit einem Fingernagel oder
einem dünnen Gegenstand wie abgebildet.

Musik mit dem iPod abspielen

Halten Sie die Fernbedienung so, dass die Signale den Infrarotempfänger vorne
am Dock erreichen können. Verwenden Sie dann diese Tasten wie beschrieben:

Nota importante: El botón Sleep (

Acoplamiento del iPod

Inserte el iPod firmemente en el acoplamiento y asegúrese de que está alojado
con seguridad en el adaptador del acoplamiento. El iPod se conecta en estado
de pausa y comienza a cargarse, según sea necesario. El iPod continuará
cargándose incluso si se apaga automáticamente en estado de pausa.

Si lo prefiere, puede sustituir este adaptador del
acoplamiento por el adaptador diseñado específicamente
para ello y que se suministra con el iPod. Utilice una uña o
una herramienta fina para libera

r el adaptador, como se

Reproducción del iPod

Asegúrese de dirigir el control remoto de modo que sus señales alcanzan el
sensor IR de la parte frontal del acoplamiento. A continuación, utilice estos
botones del modo siguiente:

reproducción del iPod.

• Pulse Play/Pause para pausar o reanudar la reproducción
