Technologies that not only improve
our life today, but tomorrow as well.
Even if it does sound old-fashioned, at Bosch we are still building our appliances
the way we did 125 years ago. Our standards have always remained the same:
nothing leaves our factory until it is 100% perfect in terms of quality,
performance and sustainability. That is why we sometimes take more time
to research, develop and test our appliances. We have remained true to the

principle of Robert Bosch all those years ago; we would rather lose money than
the trust of our customers. And we think that this is actually quite modern.

Green Technology inside
This signet denotes products that focus
on energy and water efficiency while
achieving top performance based on
Bosch technologies – and, like all Bosch
products, have been manufactured with
the aim of minimizing their impact on the
environment. The signet stands for the
resource-efficiency of our products –
quite simply, for their ‘Green Technology’.

Bosch quality
Over the years, Bosch has been surveyed
to be one of the most reliable brands
of washing machines by a leading
independent consumer organisation
in Australia.
Every Bosch washer to leave our factory
complies with stringent standards. All
sub-assemblies and components undergo
thorough inspection before they are
included in the production of your new
Bosch washing machine. To demonstrate
our commitment to quality, a further 2-3%
of all production is resubmitted for quality
audits. We stand proud by all our products
when they leave the factory so you have the
confidence you have come to rely on when
your appliance arrives. We back this up
with a 2-year national warranty and an
extensive after-sales service network
throughout Australia.
What is ECARF?
ECARF promotes 'For a better life with
allergies'. It is the European Centre for
Allergy Research, founded in Berlin in 2003.
The ECARF quality seal stands for certified
quality standards and is designed to help
allergic patients select appropriate goods
and services.
A number of Bosch models have
received the ECARF quality tested
seal: WAE24463AU, WAE22464AU,
WAS28461AU, WAS28464AU,
WAS28440AU, WAY32540AU,

underdose. Or you can
get the dosing just right.
Correct dosing depends on several factors. Simply guessing usually
leads to incorrect dosing. Using too much detergent automatically
results in increased water and energy consumption – that’s not just bad
for your laundry, it’s also harmful to the environment. i-DOS, the
integrated automatic dosing system from Bosch, dispenses the correct
amount of liquid detergent to the very millilitre. Just fill the chamber
once and i-DOS gets the dosing right for up to 26 washes
#
.
Overdosing
Too much detergent is not only harmful
to your laundry and your skin; it also
means increased consumption of water
and energy.
Underdosing
Too little detergent is false economy
since you’ll have to wash clothes
repeatedly in order to get them
really clean.
i-DOS
Correct Dosing
i-DOS, the integrated automatic dosing
system, dispenses the correct amount
of liquid detergent to the very millilitre.
That means a reduction of up to 30%
in detergent requirements and a saving
of up to 7.062* litres of water a year.

At last, a washing machine that does
everything right. Automatically.
The Bosch i-DOS HomeProfessional always knows what

it’s doing, that’s because a large number of intelligent
sensors located inside the washing machine monitor
the entire wash process.
How much water is necessary?
The second sensor featured in the ActiveWater™ technology,
the flow rate sensor, knows at any given time how much water
has been supplied to the drum. Taking the results of the water
level sensor into account, it determines exactly how many rinse
cycles are still required.
How much laundry is in
the washing machine?
The load sensor detects how
much laundry is in the drum.
This information is important
later on when exactly dosing
the required quantity
of detergent.
How soiled is the laundry?
AquaSensor continuously scans the water in the washing
machine and knows exactly when the laundry is clean.
Using this information, it controls the number of rinse
cycles without using too much water.

How much detergent is necessary?
The i-DOS dosage sensor* monitors the
dosing pump. Along with the information
from the other sensor, it directly adjusts
dosing of the liquid detergent down to
the last millilitre via the precision dosing
pump. Exactly one millilitre of liquid
detergent is dispensed per 18 gear
revolutions. This allows for exceptionally
precise dosing.
What kind of fabrics are being washed?
The intelligent ActiveWater™ technology
uses two sensors to ensure that not a
single drop of water is wasted. The water
level sensor measures how long it takes
the laundry to soak up the water and also
how much is soaked up. This allows it
to determine what type of fabrics are
to be washed in the automatic programs*.
Cotton, for instance, soaks up more water
than light synthetic textiles.
Is the drum rotating smoothly?
The 3D sensor makes sure that the laundry is always washed
evenly. It detects where the wash load is and returns it to
the centre of the drum if the latter is out-of-balance. Regular
drum action is not only kind to your laundry, but also to your
washing machine.

Manual dosing
If you prefer, you can of course
continue to dose manually
for all programs except the
automatic ones. This is ideal,
for instance, when you wish
to use a special detergent,
powder or stain remover salt.
What could be more simple?

This is how i-DOS works:
Automatic programs
All you have to do to obtain
perfect washing results is
press the start button: with
the two automatic programs
for normal or sensitive wash
loads, the necessary amount
of detergent is dosed
automatically and the wash
process optimally adjusted
to the demands of the
particular wash load.
The Automatic program
(35-40°C) is suitable for all
hard wearing textiles made of
cotton and linen. For example,
T-shirts, sweaters, trousers,
bed linen, hand towels and
table linen.
The Automatic Soft program
(25-30°C) is ideal for more
delicate clothes made
of cotton, linen, synthetics
or mixed blends, like shirts,
blouses or T-shirts.
You can rely on this convenience: fill up once and save every
time you wash. Thanks to intelligent automatic dosing and
automatic programs, the i-DOS HomeProfessional always
does everything exactly right.

Special sensors determine the
laundry's weight and type of
textile and in the automatic
programs, hardness of water,
even the degree of soiling.
Based on these factors,
the optimum amount of
detergent is dispensed.

EcoSilence Drive™.
Built to last.
EcoSilence Drive™
Strong
The EcoSilence Drive™ is Bosch's most powerful motor to date.
Instead of supplying electricity to the rotating armature via
carbon brushes, we equipped the armature itself with extremely
strong permanent magnets.
Long-lasting
Friction generates heat, by dispensing with carbon brushes,
the EcoSilence Drive™ won't heat up and won't wear.
Features vary depending on model. Please check individual product specifications.
Economical
The EcoSilence Drive™ sets a new benchmark in energy
efficiency. It is more economical than conventional motors
as there are no copper or aluminium windings in the rotor.
Quiet
As there is no friction from carbon brushes, there is also
no excessive motor noise. That makes the EcoSilence Drive™
one of the quietest motors in its class and the best example
that 'less can indeed be more'.
