The Cooper Wheelock SAFEPATH4 SPRM Remote
Microphone connects to the SP40/2 or SP40S to
provide an additional microphone in a remote location.
It can be mounted up to 2000 ft (609 m) from the
SP40/2 OR SP40S.

Mounting Considerations

Surface or flush mount the microphone using a
four‑gang back box. It must be within 2000 ft (609 m)
of the SP40/2 or SP40S.

Wiring Considerations

Wire using 14 AWG (1.8 mm) to 18 AWG (1.2 mm)
shielded cable. Connect the shield only at the SP40/2
or SP40S control panel. The maximum capacitance of
the cable must be 0.1 μF/total run (50 pF/ft for
1000 ft or 164 pF/m for 304.8 m).
