To protect your hearing, follow these guidelines when you
use headphones.
• The Boostaroo Revolution provides up to 4 times
the power or volume to ordinary headphones.
Use cauti on to protect your hearing.
• Set the volume of your player or volume control
headphones to the lowest setting before you begin
listening. After you begin listening, adjust the
volume to a comfortable level.
• Do not listen at extremely high volume levels.
Extended high-volume listening can lead to
permanent hearing loss.
• Once you set the volume, do not increase it. Over
time, your ears adapt to the volume level, so a
volume level that does not cause discomfort might
still damage your hear in g.
Traffic Safety
Do not use headphones when operating a motor vehicle or
riding a bicycle in or near traffic. Doing so can create a
traffic hazard and could be illegal in some areas.
If you use headphones while riding a bicycle, be very
careful. Do not listen to a continuous broadcast.
Even though some headphones let you hear some outside
sounds when listening at normal volume levels, they still
can present a traffic hazard.
CARE & WARRANTY
DO NOT submerse this apparatus in water.
Water will short circuit the unit and cause permanent
damage to the unit that is not covered by the warranty,
Keep the Boostaroo Revolution dry; if it gets wet, wipe it
dry immediately. Use and store the headphone booster
only in normal temperature environments. Handle the
headphone amplifier carefully; do not drop it. Keep the
headphone amplifier away from dust and dirt, and wipe it
with a damp cloth occasionally to keep it looking new.
The Boostaroo Revolution comes with a 12-month warranty
against manufacturing defects and failure s from date of

UpBeat Audio's Cross feed Circuit – Our Patent Pending
audio cross feed circuit increases the dynamic range of
audio providing the user with clearer audio and a more
natural listening experience with headphones. Many users
compare it to a sense of being in a recording studio with
the actual artist.
The cross feed circuit works by taking audio samples from
the left and right channels delaying them and directing
them back to the opposite channel.
2-Way Audio Splitting — lets up to two listeners share
one stereo audio source, and images high fidelity sound

PREPARATION
Installing Batteries
Your headphone amp uses two AAAA batteries for power.
For the best performance and longest life, we recommend
alkaline batteries. Replacements may be purchased online
at
www.boostaroo.com or at any major office supply,
electronics, or drug store.

Hear how your music is supposed to sound!
• Use only fresh batteries of the required size and
recommended type.
• Do not mix old and new batteries, different types of
batteries (standard, alkaline, or rechargeable), or
rechargeable batteries of different capacities.
1. Push lightly on the side thumb tab of the battery
compartment cover to remove it.
2. Place the batteries in the compartment as indicated by
the polarity symbols (+ and –) marked inside.
3. Replace the cover.
When the headphone amplifier stops operating properly,
replace the batteries.
Warning: Dispose of old batteries promptly and properly.
Do not burn or bury them.
Caution: If you do not plan to use the headphone amplifier
for two weeks or more, remove the batteries. Batteries can
leak chemicals that can destroy electronic parts.
OPERATION
You can use the headphone amplifier while you listen to an
audio source such as an Mp3, iPod, CD or DVD player, a
computer, sat ellite radio , or portab le game system. For the
best results, the headphones you use should have an
impedance of about 32 – 300 Ohms. However, Revolution
will drive up to 600 Ohms, but there may be reduced
volume at that level. If you are unsure of your headphones
Ohm rating, refer to the headphones’ owner’s manual.
1. With the audio source turned off, plug the headphone
amplifier’s

/8 -inch (3.5-mm) stereo plug into the stereo
or mono output jack on the audio source. This will turn
the Revolution on, as indicated by its LED light.
Note: If you connect the headphone booster to a mono
audio source, you will
hear sound in both channels.
2. Plug headphones or mini-speakers into one of the two
output jacks on the headphone amplifier.
3. Adjust the audio source’s volume control to its lowest
level. Be aware that the Revolution amplifies the
volume of your audio source, and take care to do this
before turning on the audio source so that you do not
harm your hearing.
4. Turn on the audio source.
5. Adjust the audio source’s volume control to the desired
listening level.
6. When you finish using your Boostaroo Revolution,
unplug the cable. Then turn off the audio source’s
power before disconnecting the headphones .
