EVO X - THROTTLE BODY

INSTALLATION MANUAL

TOOLS REQUIRED

M10 socket wrench
M12 socket wrench
Flat screw driver
Phillips screw driver

Disconnect the battery terminals.

Remove the air supply hose.

Pliers
6 mm Allen wrench
T20 safety TOX

Remove the air filter assembly.

Disconnect the coolant lines and remove
the throttle body.

MATERIALS REQUIRED

None

Remove the air filter housing.

Loop the coolant line back to the engine
block.

Disconnect the throttle body wire
harness.

Remove the throttle body cover.

Remove the spur gear.

Remove the servo motor and the wave
spring.

Parts that will be reused with the Boomba
Racing Throttle Body.

Place the wave spring inside of the
throttle body housing.

Reinstall the servo motor and the spur
gear. Install the throttle body cover.

Bolt the throttle body adaptor to the intake
manifold. Place the factory gasket
between the adaptor and the manifold.

Bolt the throttle body to the manifold.
Reconnect the air supply hose. Plug the
wire harness connector.

Reinstall the air filter.

Reconnect the battery terminals.

Turn the ignition key to “ON” position.
DO NOT START THE ENGINE.
Wait for a minimum 20 seconds and turn
the ignition key to “OFF” position. Wait for

a minimum 20 seconds.

Repeat this process 3 (three) more times
to allow the ECU memorize new TPS
settings.
