MALATHION
Insect Control
CONTROLS scales, thrips, leafhoppers, Japanese beetles, codling moths and other listed sucking and chewing insects. Also controls mosquitoes and small flying insects. USE on asparagus, tomatoes, lettuce, melons, squash, blackberries, citrus fruits, listed ornamental plants and shrubs (ornamental herbaceous plants, ornamental non­flowering plants, ornamental woody shrubs and vines), roses and carnations, plus other listed fruits and vegetables. Read and use according to label directions. APPLY using a tank sprayer, hose end sprayer or watering can for listed fruits, vegetables and ornamental plants.

It is a violation of Federal law to use this product in a manner inconsistent with its labeling.
Not for use on plants being grown for sale or other commercial use, or for commercial seed production, or for research purposes. Use on listed fruits and vegetables is limited to home gardens.

• For outdoor use only.
• Do not allow people or pets to enter the treated area until
sprays have dried.
• When applied as a fogger, do not enter treated area until
vapors, mists and aerosols have dispersed.
• Do not apply this product through any type of irrigation
system.
• This product may cause spotting on automobile paint finish. Cars should not be sprayed directly. If accidental exposure
occurs, the car should be washed immediately.
This product controls a great diversity of listed insects;
including aphid, spider mites, scales, as well as a wide range of other sucking and chewing insects attacking listed fruits, vegetables and ornamentals, and controls mosquitoes.
For proper mixing, fill the spray tank with at least ¾ gallon of
water before this product is added. Shake sprayer occasionally or agitate to keep spray particles in suspension during
application. Follow spray schedule given in SPRAY CHART. For Hose-end Sprayer Application: Use a hose-end sprayer that can be adjusted to provide a dilution ratio of approximately
1 fl. oz. of this product per gallon of spray.
For Watering Can Application: See SPRAY CHART for use rates. Apply by gently sprinkling 1 gallon of mixture over
foliage.

Spray Application: Mix 5 . oz. this product in 1 gallon of water or oil-based carrier (such as kerosene, fuel oil or
diesel oil). Apply as an area spray with a pump or tank lawn & garden sprayer with nozzle adjusted to a ne spray
mist. Do not exceed 2½ gallons of spray mixture per acre per day when applying at the 5 . oz. rate. For heavy
infestations, increase the amount of this product to 12 . oz. per gallon. Do not exceed 1 gallon of spray mixture
per acre per day when applying at the 12 . oz. rate. Repeat applications as necessary. Avoid applying oil-based
formulations to plants as injury may occur.

Fogger Application: Mix 5 . oz. this product in 1 gallon of water
or oil-based carrier (such as kerosene, fuel oil or diesel oil).
Apply using a thermal fogging unit. Do not exceed 2½ gallons of dilute mixture per acre per day when applying at the 5 .
oz. rate. For heavy infestations, increase the amount of this
product to 12 . oz. per gallon. Do not exceed 1 gallon of dilute mixture per acre per day when applying at the 12 . oz. rate.
Repeat applications as necessary. Avoid applying oil-based formulations to plants as injury may occur.
Do not contaminate water, food, or feed by stortage or disposal. Pesticide Storage: This product should be stored in the original container in a secure dry place. Do not contaminate with other pesticides or fertilizers. The product should never be heated above 55°C (131°F), and should not be stored for long periods of time at a temperature in excess of 25°C (77°F). Store and transport in an upright position. Pesticide Disposal: If partly filled- Call your local solid waste agency for disposal instructions. Never place unused product down any indoor or outdoor drain. Promptly clean up spills with absorbent material; discard used material in trash. Container Disposal: If empty- Nonrefillable container. Do not reuse or refill this container. Offer for recycling if available, or place in trash.

HAZARDS TO HUMANS AND DOMESTIC ANIMALS

Causes moderate eye irritation. Avoid contact with eyes,
skin, or clothing. Wear long sleeved shirt, long pants, shoesandsocks.
To protect the environment, do not allow pesticide to enter or run off into storm drains, drainage ditches, gutters or surface waters. Applying this product in calm weather when rain is not predicted for the next 24 hours will help to ensure that wind or rain does not blow or

water bodies or drainage systems. This product is highly toxic to bees exposed to direct treatment on blooming crops or weeds. Do not apply this product or allow it to drift to blooming crops or weeds while bees are actively visiting the treatment area.
