Additional Safeguards
Do not operate appliance if power
cord shows any damage or if
appliance works intermittently.
• Do not turn on kettle when the
lid is off. The lid must be on the
kettle in the proper orientation
during operation to engage the
boil dry mechanism. If the lid is
not on the kettle, the kettle may
boil dry, causing damage.
• Always plug appliance in before
turning on.
• To avoid circuit overload, do not
operate another high wattage
appliance on the same circuit.

• Do not use the kettle to heat
anything other than water.

lled, boiling water may be

• Be aware of steam being emitted
from spout or lid especially during

• Scalding may occur if the lid is

• Unplug from outlet when not in
use, moving kettle, and before
cleaning.
Power Cords
1. A short power-supply cord
is provided to reduce the
risks resulting from becoming
entangled in or tripping over a
longer cord.
2. Longer detachable power-supply
cords or extension cords may be
used if care is exercised in their
use.
3. If a long detachable power-supply
cord or extension cord is used:
a. The marked electrical
rating of the detachable
power-supply cord or
extension cord should
be at least as great as
the electrical rating of the
appliance
• If the kettle sustains a heavy
impact, it may be damaged.
Check for cracks or damage
before using, especially if there
are signs of leakage.
• The kettle is very hot during
use. Do not touch kettle surface
(Fig. 1).

b. If the appliance is of
the grounded type, the
extension cord should be
a grounding-type 3-wire
cord; and
c. The longer cord should
be arranged so that it
will not drape over the
counter top or table top
where it can be pulled
on by children or tripped
over.

1. This warranty extends only to
the original retail purchaser or
gift recipient. Keep the original
sales receipt as proof of purchase
is required to make a warranty
claim.
2. This warranty covers any defects
in materials or workmanship from
the manufacturing process.
3. Defects that occurred due to
improper connection, improper
handling, or repair attempts by
non-authorized persons are
not covered by the warranty.
The same applies for failure to
comply with the use of cleaning
5. The warranty becomes void if
repairs are carried out by third
parties who are not authorized by
the manufacturer and/or if spare
parts are used other than the
original ones.
6. Failure to comply with any of the
important safeguards listed in
this manual will void the limited
warranty.

USING THE
KETTLE
Before rst use
1. Remove packaging materials,
labels, and stickers from the
kettle.
2. Read the KETTLE SET UP AND
OPERATION section.
3. Clean the kettle by lling with
clear, cold water to the MAX line.
Kettle Set up and Operation
1. Set the kettle on a at, even and
steady surface.
2. Take off the lid, and ll the kettle
with cold water (Fig. A), up to the
MAX line.
3. After lling the kettle with water,
place the lid on the kettle, and
close rmly. Make sure lid is
secured in the proper orientation
(Fig. B).
4. Turn on the kettle and bring to a
boil.
5. Let the kettle cool down 1 minute.
6. Empty water from kettle.
7. Repeat steps 3-6 two more times
before using.

4. Before plugging the kettle into
the wall outlet, check that the
electrical circuit is not overloaded
with other appliances.
5. Plug the power cord into a
standard wall outlet (Fig. C).
6. Turn on the I/O switch (Fig. D).
The power indicator light will
illuminate.
