The 3XL’s unique array of digital features allows integrators
to congure it for any combination of outdoor speakers
and subwoofers. Beyond its amplication power, the
3XL allows any input to be routed to either the amplier
channel or the line level output or both simultaneously.
The 3XL is a dual mono, direct-drive, transformer-less design
for maximum damping factor and precise bass control. Two
separate Class-D power amplier modules, with dedicated
PFC/Switched-Mode power supply, are crafted onto one
chassis. Each channel operates independently in either lowimpedance mode (4/8/16 Ohms) or high-impedance mode

(70V/100V), allowing connection of 70/100V speakers
on one channel while simultaneously driving one or two
8-Ohm subwoofers on the other channel.
The 3XL is remarkably easy to set up and use. NEAR
has thoughtfully programmed-in up to 16 DSP presets,
perfectly crossed-over, equalized and power limited for the
most common combinations of NEAR speakers. These
are easily accessed and set via front-panel control. More
advanced users can access the full array of DSP features
through a (Graphic User Interface) GUI by connecting a
computer to the 3XL using the supplied Ethernet cable.

• Crossover lters with slopes from 6dB/Octave up to 48dB/Octave
including Butterworth, Bessel, Linkwitz-Riley types
• Adjustable RMS Compressor, including variable ratio and knee,
for each input and adjustable Peak Limiter for each output
• Adjustable Delay time up to 960ms for every input and output channel
• Storage for 16 presets for system congurations
• Front panel interactive LCD display for local access
and conguration via rotary push button control
• Flexible transformer-less output Speaker Drive mode settings for lowimpedance or high-impedance applications
• Ethernet interface connection for system setup, monitoring, and
control via an intuitive Windows-based GUI application for the
integrator/user
• Automatic Stand-By Mode; selectable Sleep Mode
