1. SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS
1 . 1 ELECTRICAL SAFETY
WARNING!
It is the responsibility of the Installer, owner and operator to read, understand and comply with the following:
1.1.1 All electrical wiring must be carried out by a fully qualified Electrician in accordance with the current IEE wiring regulations.
1.1.2 An isolator having a contact separation of at least 3mm on all poles must be incorporated in the fixed wiring as a means of fully
disconnecting the mains supply.
1.1.3 The Circuit should also be protected by a suitably rated fuse or MCB.
1.1.2 The Thermostat must be earthed by means of the earth screw in the metal back-plate.
1.1.3 The electrical supply must be disconnected before fitting the unit to the back-plate or removing the cover.
1.1.4 MAXIMUM LOAD MUST NOT EXCEED 20 AMPS
2. INSTALATION INSTRUCTIONS
Location
The FST2-IN should be wall-mounted at approximately 1.5m above floor level. Do not position above a radiator or in direct sunlight.
Installation
The metal back-plate can be fitted to a wall or to a single gang back-box and should be earthed using the screw on the plate.
1. Loosen the cover retaining screws and remove the cover.
2. Remove the Knob by gently pulling towards you.
3. Swing the terminal cover open to reveal the electrical terminals.
4. Pull the wires through the back of the thermostat and secure the thermostat to the back-plate using the two captive screws.
5. Electrical connections should be made in accordance to the relevant wiring diagram below and to the current I.E.E regulations.
6. Swing the terminal cover back into position and replace the knob then the main cover, tightening the retaining screws.
7. The desired temperature should be set by rotating the dial to the required position.
