F-BODY STRUT TOWER BRACES
Part # STB001, MSTB001, STB002, MSTB002, XSTB001
Required Tools:
• 15mm wrench or socket/ratchet
• Pliers(optional)
Installation:
1. Remove all four forward shock tower mounting nuts on the left and right wheel-
wells using the 15mm wrench or socket. On some newer models, the passenger
inside stud has a small A/C line support tab under a second nut that must also be
removed. On some older models there is an A/C sensor that may require
temporary removal for the installation. NOTE: This sensor has a schraeder valve
behind it to prevent freon loss upon removal.
2. Position the brace over the passenger side studs first then lower over the drivers’
side.
3. The drivers’ side has two ABS brake lines that may need to be pushed over
slightly in order to position the brace properly.
4. Once in place, reinstall all four mounting nuts using the supplied washers. On
newer models, the A/C line support tab must be deleted or slipped under the main
mounting nut due to limited threads on the stud. On older models, reinstall the
A/C sensor and plug it back in.
