UPPER COIL-OVER MOUNT – CCK004
NOTE: The BMR Upper Coil-over Mount requires the use of BMR “RACE” Lower Control Arms, Part #MTCA030. TOOLS REQUIRED:
Jack and Jack Stands
Wrenches: 15mm, 18mm, 21mm, ¾”
3/8” or ½” drive ratchet
INSTALLATION:
1. Lift vehicle and support with jack stands under the
frame rails.
2. Remove the rear wheels/tires.
3. Using a 21mm socket and wrench, remove the
lower shock bolt. (IMAGE 1)
4. Using a 15mm socket, remove all 4 upper shock
mount bolts as shown in IMAGE 2. NOTE: the forward inner bolt is easiest to remove using a 15mm wrench.
5. Remove the shock/spring/mount and set aside.
6. Use the BMR upper mount to mark the floor pan
for modification. Using a body saw or die grinder, trim the shock opening to match the previous mark. Test-fit the BMR coil-over mount on the frame and trim-to-fit if necessary.
7. Assemble the shock and spring as shown in
IMAGE 3. Adjust the spring collar until the spring is tight and then continue to tighten approximately one more inch of threads.

8. Bolt the coil-over assembly to the upper coil-over
mount using the supplied ½” x 4.5” bolt, washer and lock nut. (IMAGE 4)
9. Install the coil-over/upper mount assembly into
the car using the OE mounting bolts. Tighten to 43 ft/lbs.

10. Bolt the bottom of the coil-over to the BMR
Lower Control Arm and insert the supplied ½” x
2.5” bolt, nut, and washer and tighten to 125 ft/lbs using a ¾” wrench and socket. (IMAGE 5)
